When this came out, it shook country music to the core.
Because it sucked so hard.
Cowboy Troy leading the band up the road with those banjos is awesome.
I played chicken with a train.
It's like Kid Rock kidnapped them and became their creative director, resulting in this song and the video 😆

Yep - exactly what they were trying to do with the Nashville Mafia movement out of old country standards. It was genius and an obvious hit with listeners 20 years ago.

I saw them years ago as an opening act for Brooks and Dunn. Big and Rich were the stars of the evening! The best and craziest show…music crossing all genres.
This is a fun song that I've always loved but there's a Big & Rich song that was written for Big Kennys' (the blonde with the deep voice) sister and it's called "Holy Water". I think y'all will love this. It's a deep one for sure though. Thanks guys 😃😃

If you want them to react to it, you need to come on an appropriately themed livestream, suggest the song in chat and try to get the chat to support it. If it gets enough support they'll put it on a poll, then you hope it wins the poll. That's how they get the songs to which they react.
The “doll” in the car was a real woman that can be still like a doll. You can see her in John Rich’s video “Country Done Come to Town”. A couple good Big & Rich songs to check out “8th of November”, “Between Raising Hell & Amazing Grace”, “Holy Water” and “Lost in the moment”. Those songs are a little on the serious side. Their music library is one to definitely dive into. They created the Music Mafia to sign artists that regular labels wouldn’t touch.

I love this and the video. John Rich is a genius. He's also a patriot. He's written tons of songs. This video looks very 80s to me.
I saw these guys in concert with Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy who are also part of thier Muzik Mafia group and they put on one hell of a show. After they all had thier seperate sets, they all came out and basically had the most awesome jam session as an encore.
This is part of a subgenre of country usually called Rebel Country...check out the Gretchen Wilson song. Redneck Woman, as well...its part of that subgenre. And Kid Rock and Hank Jr are in it and both the characters, Big and Rich are as well.
Yes! You find them in each other's videos. Like Hank's That's how they do it in Dixie. If I'm not mistaken John helped Gretchen write Redneck woman and I'm here for the party.
Their song Holy Water is as honest as any song ever written.
Holy Water and 8th of November are MUSTS for anyone who genuinely wants to really understand what Big and Rich are about.

That song was so fun back in the day- it would come on and everyone would jump on the dance floor and sing along! Definitely not to be taken too seriously for sure lol!
My wife and I used to take our horses trail riding with friends and we'd often sit around after the ride listening to music and drinking beer - this song reminds me of those good times. The phrase that used to go with this song was "rode hard and put away wet". 🙂

The song was an extremely huge hit the video fit the time frame. There's a live performance at the CMT Outlaws along with a whole bunch of other artists but they do it live it's pretty cool
Love me some 'Big Kenny' & John Rich. These guys have some amazing music. This was is a fun one too. I love 'Holy Water' & 'Lost in the moment' which are both beautiful tunes by these guys.

It is all about just having fun people. Ya it's hip hoppy and yes it is Kid Rockish but when you are drunk in a western bar it is fun as hell to get up and dance and sing to. Plus it got a lot of cowboys laid.

The woman playing the doll was a real woman. This song according to John Rich was from a young woman who told him about a pick up line a guy used on her. He said "save a horse ride a cowboy " John told her that would be an awesome song and they wrote it.

Take them seriously ("Holy Water", "Wild West Show", & "Live This Life") but don't take them too seriously ... ("Save A Horse", "Kick My Ass", and "Real World") ... 😝

Not even gonna get into how many women have said those words to me, save a horse, ride a ____. I’m no cowboy but just being from the south a lot of women loved that. Hard working men compared to the soft ass shi we have going on now. Strong independent women can recognize a strong independent man

If country is your new bag for reaction videos then jeez louise have I a suggestion for you. Late great Canadian country and folk icon Stompin' Tom Connors, a guy so authentic he makes all other musicians seem plasic-y in comparison. Even legends like Cash.

I was annoyed at first when this came out, thought they were just screwing up the genre, but it still manages to be a country song and a fun song and they have some pretty legit country songs. This kinda stuff is alright for the genre every once in a while.
