Joe's guitar work especially the intro on Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools, next to Aretha herself, made that song.

Did you know that Joe South showed some guitar work to Freddy Weller, then Freddy showed it to Mac Davis. Mac was having trouble trying to finish a song. Mac used that guitar work on "In The Ghetto". Listen to the guitar on that tune and Joe's song "Children". Same guitar work, just a little different speed. I read this and I listened, they are the same. Joe was such a talented man.
