    One of the best soundtracks ever. Would love to see this up on Spotify.

    The adrenaline rushes when the battles would start up and this music played, oh man the thrill of the battle was amazing.

      Exactly like i feel! Give me goosebumps. Same feeling now with 30 years, and when i was a kid. One of the best rts, and best OST of course!!

      Exactly! And then my computer would go like "hey watch this slide show" with all the explosions happening on screen. Good times.

      So true. I was used to hearing this a lot thanks to my father playing this amazing game. Some months later, I was listening to the "Red Alert" music from the soundtrack of A Bug's Life, and it reminded me of this tune.

    The mixed meter in this always gets me conducting! The 5/4 is so brilliant. This is honestly some of Jeremy Soule's best work and one of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time! I still can't believe that he took a pay cut just to get this made.

      It was a risk to have a pay cut but it paid off, his name is on everyone's lips now thanks to Skyrim.

    What a game! One of the best RTS, pioneer! And best OST! Good old times.

    I was 13 (I'm now 37) when my dad played this game a lot on his laptop...and I was used to hearing this song come on more than a few times. I made this tune into a ringtone, and it's usually heard when my dad calls.

    Imagine fighting dragons in skyrim to this music instead of the more subdued track Soule composed for that game. I love his work for TA over pretty much anything else he's done.

    no other rts can beat this games Big Bertha long range artillery super weapon. then with the expansion the Buzzsaw ended everything. i remember making 15-20 big b's with omni radar and just doing bullet tracking watching the shells fly lol.

      -iDol-Hands Once made what I called "The Wall" on one of the land-only, small, Core Prime maps. It had Guardians backed by Defenders (I played as ARM) in a solid line all the way across the top fifth of the map (a few breaks to accommodate the ~10 units I had left due to the unit cap). Every time the comp built up enough units, he'd feed them to the wall, and this song would briefly break out as dozens of units were reduced to wreckage in seconds.
      If you'll excuse me, I have to scour my harddrive for my TA installer... nostalgia is a powerful force!

    • @Handsx
      @Handsx 9 лет назад +1

      Justin Durham maybe it is nostalgia, maybe not. but i feel like TA will never be beaten for an rts. i have yet to have fun with any of the new "commander" and CNC games. grey goo yuck. i think thats a console issue since rts is PURE pc gaming, the smaller devs just cant make the good balanced rts like yesteryear

      I always preferred to have multiple Big Berthas or Intimidators as they had about 50% more range than the buzz saw and you could ctrl number group them into fire squads and attack multiple targets simultaneously :)
