I am laughing out loud at work AND forwarding to everyone I like because you only share comedic gold with the worthy few. That’s as high a compliment as you are going to get from me. 😂
This was phenomenal. Very smart, very relatable, brilliant execution. Most comedians are indeed 3 stars. You, on the other hand, have got something rare and powerful here. 5 stars.
Just watched this with my elder teenage autistic daughter and we both (figuratively!) cried with laughter! So, so good. Thank you for a truly great, and personally resonating hour of top comedy!
Yayy I don’t even know how many times I listened to The quiet ones, very happy to have more Pierre Novellie material! Already listened and about to give it a second listen, I’d say it’s fair to say this is a solid 6/10 😉
I am silently listening as I clean the kitchen and greatly enjoying this. I think I even smiled a couple of times. 3/5 crying emojis. I consistently give 5/5 ratings on yelp, amazon, any driver rating, any gig app. I do this because I recognize that a 3 star review causes actual harm to individuals and small businesses. But it REALLY bugs me, so I appreciate the absolutely correct commentary. Most things really are 3 stars, but I'm not going to lose some poor bastard his job by telling the truth.
Hahaha, your Philanthropic reviews serve the greater good. I too shall adopt this feedback philosophy in the hopes that some poor soul keeps their employment. 😊
@@fatherburning358 💜 it's true, 4&5 star ratings are pretty crucial for businesses as well as podcasts and ESPECIALLY for e-books (preorders are most helpful for now, esp print ones) Also if you get asked to take a survey or rate the tech/customer service rep after a call to, say, your Internet provider or insurance company that makes a BIG deal in whether they get a raise and if they have to put up with constant reminders of their "metrics" by supervisors lol
I've only once given someone less than 5 stars on uber. And that was because he drove off when I got off at what was supposed to be a stop on route, not the end destination. I have him 4 stars. I feel a bit guilty about it 😕
This has been incredible! It has never occurred to me to search for a neurodivergent comedian - I watched this after reading the book with the same title - and I honestly cannot remember the last time I laughed so much. I have Asperger's & ADHD and the only other human that shares my sort of twisted and dark, but well crafted humour is my brother (undiagnosed, but 6/10 he's got the same diagnosis as I do). I will now have to conduct 5-6 days of intense research for further videos such as this one!
Saw him live in Newcastle recently and cried laughing. The Quiet Ones was what caused me to buy a ticket and spread the word because I watched it and cried laughing. Watched this one and cried laughing. Incredible writing and delivery. Six out of ten. Its fine.
I'm just autistic and I forgot to listen/enjoy to the jokes because my mind had an internal red strobe light telling me, "Ok, he's three tangents down now, and there's only 10 minutes left of the show, I will force-feed the phone to the first swan that hisses at me in order to make a foie gras so fucking full of precious metals and yet so slightly off from the ordinary ducky taste that it'll force some rich prick to smile and say "That is the best fucking foie gras I've ever tasted" only to vomit battery acid through his dissolved and apple-crumbled Adam's apple if he, the comedian, deliberately, and it *will* be deliberate -he seems too composed to overlook such things- leaves out the ending to the story only to spite his own kin, but let's calm down and analyse -yes, that's what always helps; the first segue into a tangent was very salt-related, the second a little less, the third was an honest-to-God stop at the red light and ask the audience what they think of something completely unrelated... This is it; My panic is totally and utterly justified; He's talking about abstract nonsense now; being satisfied with life because he heard of his friend meeting a modern-day Diogenes in Berlin.....Oh, what the fuck, man, is this your impression of Norm Macdonald on a talk-show?! I could have enjoyed those jokes! I guess I probably did; 6/10." ps. I won't say I am a hypocrite for being afraid of tangents, but my amygdala certainly doesn't give a fuck about consistency in judgement 😂
I laughed; I cried; it was better than Cats. This guy made me laugh so hard I had to be hospitalized for multiple organ failure. I was [un?]lucky to survive.
Congrats Pierre, great finish. Here from BudPod - I've yet to discover a podcast I like more than yours (Though boooo, down with de-colon-isation - I miss Phil's horror and the bright levity it brought to perfectly balance the political and deep chats. I get it though - you guys gotta make what you wana make, just as there's a reason we eat the meats we eat.)
In case anyone else was curious about fish blood... "In the case of freshwater fish, their blood and bodily fluids are much saltier than the water they swim in, so water will flow in through their gills. The opposite is true for saltwater fish" I'm late diagnosed autistic myself. I did laugh out loud, but no tears. 😄
It was somewhere around the goblin that I had the thought, "...what about the origin of the salty fish blood comment in Belgium?" And that's exactly why you don't ask a man "What are you thinking right now?" The explanation will always be so much worse than the standard blanket reply, "...nothing".
@@catfoodcannon Yeah, he wrapped it up right at the end. It wasn't an explicit statement, but there was a sufficient allusion. Watch it agtain, and you'll catch it.
Oooof... yea, the amount that I relate to you and enjoy your comedy... and exactly how molar sticking snack texture quality is something that is entirely relatable to me... and possibly the fact that I am a year in to a pro se legal thing where I have been researching boilers, century old 2∅ railroad electricity (the fact that I have an app for the ∅ and other favorite Unicode №⁂℔¶§±ºªþμ♀♂⚥ to which I just added a σ), city databases, professional licensing, and also that I knew that entire train of thought was coming back to wrap around more directly to the fish blood cause the link wasnt strong enough... yeah... maybe I need to be specifically evaluated for Asperger's... Something tells me I may not be in the μ ± 3σ range around neurotypical
OMG dying, how often I find myself thinking so much the same. Lying in bed I was asked to tell a story, but instead I literally asked if fish require drinking water as the sea is so salty, or do they not require water, but the air is just less dense water so why is this different for us….
