We just did a short trip to check out a few campgrounds around beaver lake. Only got to praire creek and horseshoe bend. It was day after 4th. But wow praire creek was super packed. We left went to horseshoe bend and so much better. I said the same thing praire is right outside a town so I bet it brings in alot of day use crowd. But after seeing the crowds I prefer horseshoe bend

I plan to explore the upper side next.

That’s funny, because the one time we went to Prairie Creek, it was because we couldn’t get into Horseshoe Bend. 😁 We may have to try Horseshoe Bend again sometime. We may have just had a bad experience, as it seems like others really like it.

The upper side is where we have spent the most time. Indian Creek and Lost Bridge South are probably our favorites.

I think praire creek is to close to town. And the roads and campground sites where all kind of tight. But it maybe a arkansas thing as this is our first time exploring arkansas coes. Horse shoe had a few cluster sites id rather not wind up in. Currently alot of sites are flooded.

So what are your favorites in NWA? We're going here this weekend

Our experience in NWA is mostly limited to Beaver Lake, and our favorites there have been Lost Bridge South, and Indian Creek. We also really liked Devil's Den, but that is further south, and may even be pushing it to be considered NWA. Thanks for watching!

We also prefer quiet. I get people having a good time, but it's a courtesy thing. Not everyone wants to hear the fun you're having. That is a drawback to being in any campground. There's always a chance that someone noisy will be nearby.

I think that is drawback with a campground being near a town as well. We typically stay on the Eureka Springs side of the lake, and it seems quieter over there (but not nearly as convenient if you forget something). :)
