    I'm moving there at the end of the month and I do have to say a huge downfall would be if you need childcare. Daycare costs there are super high so keep that in mind. Also if you have an infant you basically have to go on a wait list once you find out you're pregnant. They had no openings for a year out in all the short pump and Richmond areas. Other than that I love everything else about the city and can't wait to move. Love your videos keep them coming!

    Definitely agree with the airport and lack of direct flights. However, I recently compared costs from Richmond and DCA for flights and found them comparable. The main difference is the NUMBER of flights from Richmond compared to DCA to those hub cities so you have more options for connections or if a flight is canceled.

      @@RondaBernstein totally agree! It can just be a pain to get up to DC on a travel day. Definitely adds some travel time there.

    If one can afford to buy such high end designers, they may as well have they own planes. So, no problem for them…
