In the double a la second turn into the arabesque penché, remember to press down before you relévé and notate your spot! Every time! Doing so will make the turn much easier. And that double attitude turn to the knee! 😍😱 yes Queen! Daniel! Great support in that moment!! Have fun and just DANCE! Daniel, Bravo! Take more risks, Sir! Excellent fauté sequence, Katherine! Loved it! Cherish, Irina! Bye! Lol

      @@lahire22 thank you for trying to teach me and explaining me things , but honestly I don’t think I need your expertise regarding the coach and the dancer relationship . I have enough of professional experience to be able recognize things. I used to be principal dancer, now I am choreographer and coach and I was lucky to be working with Kolpakova’s husband Vladlen Semyonov, as well as with Komleva, Berezhnoy or Terekhova ( naming just a few from that old Russian school generation) and I am sure that I understand the psychology of both - the coach and the dancer better than many others and especially those from Kirov ballet and what they want and which nuances and how they expect you to immediately catch it and after you received the correction you was expected to remember it and do it with next take.( here I saw that the dancers after getting correction , again did it next time theirs own way without remembering what she asked from them and it happened several times ) Also don’t know what have to do Marianela’s and Vadim’s individualities with this rehearsal? I would appreciate if we can already stop this conversation as it doesn’t lead anywhere.

    Idk if it's just me but for some reason this just feels soulless and empty. kitri is a supposed to be a firework of a character, not an uptight princess. Though she softens up a little when she gets married, she’s still that outgoing and fiery spanish girl that lights up any room. When catherine’s not forcing expression she literally just looks bored. Seems like she should have been cast as something like Aurora instead of this, but maybe she was just having a bad day.

    • @user-yn8ct1qh9t
      @user-yn8ct1qh9t 8 месяцев назад +9

      She’s quite good, but I feel like nowadays many ballerinas misinterpret the character of kitri, instead of portraying her as passionate like maya plisetskaya or other older ballerinas, they kind of make kitri into a noble princess

    • @ipt3000
      @ipt3000 8 месяцев назад +2

      What happens when people are chosen for their bodies versus fan dancer leanness? Meaning you can have a beautiful body and a beautiful capacity to athletically do Ballet, but ALI is acting first and foremost first and foremost first and foremost. kitri is a young candela gal showing off having fun. I sensuous passionate, but not passionate in that sort of older woman type of passion. She’s like watch Gelsey Kirkland in this role and there’s everything you need to see. Dancers have to love the character they have to be in it to win it. They have some of that one and if they’re just leaving the world of athletic capacities turning in all Nicole think you feel when you do ballet if that’s all they’re interested in and that’s with strong internally is the athletic challenges. Well it’s going to be flat!

    • @ayepol
      @ayepol 8 месяцев назад +16

      Tome it looks like they're working out the choreography, their timings, their style and each other. It's a process and sometimes the acting and character come as the dancers become more secure and confident, especially if the characther they're protraying doesn't come naturally to them. It's part of the challange! They are still in the process of discovering their Kitri and Basilio so please don't be harsh on them (yet). This is an unfinished product😊 and imo they're doing super well❤

      Watching Catherine in class. She is very well trained
      I am not sure how to word this but I think Irina is trying to teach them "bravado". This comes from the front clavicle area
      For instance when you enter the stage
      Bravado would be like a strong statement
      I'm not stating this the right way to get my point across
      Without this Bravado (and I just can't get the correct word)
      Without this it feels empty
      Younger dancers these days do not have this Feeling that comes from this area that projects out out to the audience or people watching you dance
