A few more survivors that I've figured out to counter Night Watch! - Professor: He excels at countering M1 killers, which is made even easier since you can quite easily predict when he attacks (when the wind ends), and NW's hitbow is so weird that it usually issues a hit anyway. After 1000 presence, the strong pull also makes it easy for Professor to predict the normal attack. - Magician: great at bamboozling NW when he's using Tempest. After 1000 pull its also really easy to juke the strong pull, by just spending a use of the wand. Even if you still get sucked, I've found that your own illusion can hold you in place. Also, M1 is easy to predict. - Perfumer: self explanatory. can even waste a strong tempest if used correctly. When the NW starts to use the weak Tempest, you can drop a perfume, run BACKWARDS to force a skill cancel/hit then return. I've found that to be quite bamboozling. Same can be applied to Magician when invisible, since it gives them a speed boost. - Acrobat's fire bomb is quite effective at making NW useless for a while.
you forgot to mention magician gets a 40% speed boost after using wand. When he sucks you in just like Gamekeeper his hitbox won't be able to do anything just with that alone.
As a player who mains another character who can silence hunters I am disapproving of this especially after his nerf. Thief can actively make Ithaqua lose his tools when they matter most, and considering it's more easily usable after one silence, I'd say he's pretty damn viable
I've found the Prisoner is really good against him. As you said, stunners counter nightwatch. Since he's a coder, he's often targeted first, but as long as you're good at kiting (with big walls) your shock charges every 30 seconds. Keep him busy until your charge is up and keep shocking until all ciphers are done. Or he gives up.
I would like to leave some extra things about toy merchant and patients being able to counter night watch 1 - patient can use his hook to leave the tempest area as it will not be canceled, being a very solid counter. 2 - Toy merchant catapults cant be interrupted with tempest, making it a quick escape from it, specially if it lands inside a building 3 - even with strong pull, you can still use the catapult if u have enough distance / use it before his animation to push you happens 3 - her glide will NOT slow down with tempest, and the hunter can only stop you from gliding if he uses the strong pull in the same height as you, which is really rare

Since night watch is still new, experimenting with diff traits and survivors in regular matches can help you strategize on the long run. It also helps to play the hunter from your POV bc you can find what obstacles you might face. 👍 So far, my main picks lately have been gardener, LG, postman, enchantress, and laywer depending on the maps that got me a decent chance of escaping.
as an ithaqua/emily main (michiko/ada side main): I do struggle on Arms Factory the most often as Ithaqua. Running around oddly shaped objects' corners is a great way to kite him as a survivor. IT. FUCKEN. WIMDYYYYYYYY

I actually find running backwards while the Nightwatch is using tempest really useful especially if I use the Antiquarian. Maybe because the players are beginners at using him…
Maybe you just didn't met a decent night watch yet. I was once matched against alligator nightwatch and our team was literally annihilated without any chances of winning. Even when we countered his tempest, he always had windwalk to keep up, his persona also didn't even have detention, it was solely built to win before 5 ciphers pop

I was waiting for you to make a NW video! 😊💙🐭 I did start using Wildling again and he works well against night watch while on the boar and then just tight kiting until the boar CD is refreshed. I’ve had quite a few NW waste so much time on me when they find me first as wildling and next I know all ciphers are popped 🐗 😂
If you can make a video helping to loop "The Wheel brothers" the only thing I know is to keep running in the same structure until the hunter gets tired of you.
