I learned that around 20,000 little kids actually pulled the knobs off the set, causing parents to write letters to NBC and the following week, Bullwinkle told the kids to glue them back on.
Waaay back in 1961 this was the first episode I ever saw of the new Bullwinkle show(although I'd seen the old Rocky show the past two years). It happened that this episode was the second episode of the Bullwinkle show.(Ironically, I had started seeing the old Rocky show with episode two.)The Bullwinkle puppet would only be used for the first few programs.
3:57 That part came in mind when I saw a comment where someone ask... Did those kids actually took Bullwinkle's advice to steal their parent's TV set? Apparently from what I've heard.
I also heard they pulled the knobs off the TV set and the following week, Bullwinkle told them to glue them back on and that was the end of the Bullwinkle puppet segments.
it's been over 60 years now, chances are very slim, but if it has survived, I doubt anyone would know it's location. if they did it'd most likely be in a museum or something ngl
@@brotftheyhaveusernamesnow if the puppet is found today, it could be worth hundreds of dollars if still found in near mint condition. If not, someone will find a way to rebuild & restore the puppet as it was in 1961.

4:33 the tv knobs incident
The one that got the puppet removed from airing and never seen again
Yeah that was a horrible incident.

@@matthewweatherford6566 yeah I heard that too. How's that even gonna work?! Besides the sets were already broken by then.
@@christianryan7207Pulling the knobs off the set doesn't break anything. They just slide off and slide back on. Well, on most models, anyway.

ABC: 1959-1961: Rocky And His Friends
NBC: 1961-1964: The Bullwinkle Show
Ah yes, *Vanilla Flavored Bullwinkle* ❤️😩❤️
Yay! You're back! :-)
I heard an echo in the video
I heard Disney was not amused at Bullwinkle's jokes about him.

They did…

I wonder if this nightmare-inducing Bullwinkle puppet is still around today somewhere in some storage or studio building?
The tv knobs incident is what took the Bullwinkle puppet off the air.
