I remember being pissed off as a kid when my catholic elementary school banned Goosebumps for "Witchcraft". Also to all the goofy parents of the PTA, have you actually read Goosebumps?! Talk about judging a book by it's cover, Jesus.

That Goosebumps game looks like it might actually have been fun. I'm kinda jealous. Almost every CD Rom game I got in the 90s was boring nonsense where you couldn't even figure out what you were supposed to do, so you never got off the first level of endless running boredom..

I know, most of those 90s CD Rom games were lame. I'll admit I haven't had the chance to play "Escape from Horrorland" myself, but I've heard a lot of good things and is still fun now in cheesy way.

MY GOD I wanted to go to the theme park so badly as a kid... I remember thinking up MY OWN Goosebumps theme park with kids at recess, coming up with creative attraction ideas. Goosebumps was THE SHIT as a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s - I had the VHS tapes, the Slappy dummy... there was just something so pleasing about the book art and the whole vibe.

The Goosebumps G has not been retired. Modern Goosebumps merch has brought back the old 90s G. I'm currently wearing a Goosebumps shirt from Cavitycolors and it has the G

Thank you for your comment. The original Logo and "G" has come back recently and I'm very happy for that. Originally, with all the lawsuits, they stopped the Goosebumps line completely, and when the started the re-issues, the used the original logo but skewed the top so it was technically different, then retired it by the mid to late 2000s. They had retired it with the Goosebumps Horrorland series not ever intending to bring it back (that's when we lost original artist Tim Jacobus, sadly). Now, it did get used in some bootleg merchandise (because fans know that the original designs were the best), but Scholastic didn't. It wasn't until the movie that it was briefly used in for the Vinyl Release of the Soundtrack that they brought Tim Jacobus back to paint Curly, and briefly revived the old Goosebumps logo (he also painted the gag end credits book cover "The Invisible Boy's Revenge" but they used the skewed re-issue Logo). Anyway, again, most T-shirts and merch with the original logo wasn't actually licensed through Scholastic (basically, if you bought in Wal-Mart it was official; if you buy it online, who knows?) Anyway, Scholastic has just started re-issuing within the last year. And officially brought the Logo and "G" out of retirement and it has finally been used last September for R.L. Stine's new Goosebumps series "The House of Shivers." When this video reaches 10,000 views I'll release a second Goosebumps video, where I will mention "House of Shivers" as the 11th GB series, and I will mention that old logo has been brought out of retirement after nearly two decades. Thanks for your comment and keep wearing that vintage GB merch with pride.

Great video, directly subscribed. I read two Fear Street Books when I was a child but never a Goosebumps one. I can remember how my Grandfather bought me one with a beautiful girl on the cover and I read the History of the Fear Street on a class trip in sixth grade. I thought it was okay but not captivated me that much because I discovered my love for King when I was 10, but it was still nice.

Thank you! Yeah, I started reading Stephen King in grade school too. Of course, if you start with the King you don't necessarily need the "literary training bra" as R.L. Stine put it. Thank you for subscribing!

I mean…a goosebumps book is only about 20,000 words, so it’s not exactly the longest time to write. I’d also like to state, you can tell they were all written by Bob because he uses certain phrases a lot! Like “it was a riot!” When something’s funny and, “oh my god it was (fill in the blank)” and my favourite “she’s cool…for a girl.” You can find one of these in usually all 62 books.

Very true! Especially with NaNoWriMo having people complete 50,000 words in a month, we know it's plausible (even in the months where he had two Goosebumps and a Fear Street in one month). However, that's one month. To do it that many consecutive months is still impressive. And yes, you can see where he got sloppy and repetitious at times, lol. But it is part of the charm, and as you said, it proves that he did write them all. Thanks for the comment.

Goosebumps always reminded me of the Magic Treehouse books, since there were always so many of them in my school library 😭 I never really read Goosebumps, but I was always reading MTH

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Somehow, "House of Shivers" seemed to have evaded my radar. It looks like it was just released in September two months after the last "Slappy's World." I guess with all the talk of the new Goosebumps series, I flat out missed it. If I get around to another Goosebumps video, I will definitely include an update to the overall count. Thanks again!
