Stellar Blade was fantastic, i still play it off and on. I lkve the qorld and Eve is just nice to look at especiallu in action. The gameplay is so fun too. I really enjoyed learning every enemy's movements for blocking and parrying.
It took me couple hours to get the feel of the combat. Parry timing, when to dodge forward and when backwards. Sometimes it's still frustrating but when everything works, you got all the timings right, combat looks super cool and it feels amazing.
Blink took me a while to get right. I messed myself up in training for it because the prompt tells you you need to wait for your sword to glow blue before you do it. I kept trying to dodge forward too soon and got pummeled as a result. I think you're doing that too, or sometimes trying to parry the attack but you can't parry those. Another thing I notice is that when Abaddon does the lightning summon attack that lights up the ground, you can dodge that far easier if you lock-off your targeting and just run. He will stand still through that attack, then you can lock-on again and continue. The dodges and parry timing windows are very narrow at default, but you can improve those skills in the survival skill tree to get windows more like Sekiro.
Game journalists: "It's sexist to have attractive main character! We can do better by making every woman ugly." Actual woman: "That's so cute!, so adorable!" It's funny that every time I check woman playing Stellar Blade it seems like main character appeal to them more than to men playing it.
could it be u have issue parrying because u are taping parry? when the enemy telegraphs the attack, short before it hits hold parry maybe? its how i would try it, tho havent played the game so its just an idea ofc
For me Stellar blade is a 7.5-8/10…..the weird thing is this is a very detached view on the game, the game however fully understand the target demographic and what they like and if you fall into that demographic you probably would enjoy this game more then a 10/10 GOTY winner The game unabashedly wears its influence on its sleeve primarily from the Nier series, both Nier Automota and Nier Replicant, and has a very unique level upgrade system. Eve feels closer to a dark souls character having to parry and dodge every attack and whittle down her enemies health, however as the game progresses it starts feeling like a devil may cry game where you start feeling overpowered and more about stylishly combining your enemies

This game was recently announced to be coming to PC with hopes to have it in 2025 as said by the developers. As a PC gamer that wanted to play this, that is great news!!! PS exclusives really frustrate a lot of us PC only players.
