Sure it wouldn’t have change much that Faye said it was Laurie who killed Mouse since there was a swat team outside, but since no one other than Custer knew the cops were ready to break down the door at any second, it just shows that Faye wanted to protect Fez and Ash. She chose them over her boyfriend because she loves them, and thought it was worth it to try and help them instead of letting them fall.
This scene made me realize that Ashtray needs psychiatric help. I'm not a doctor or anything, but Faye had everything under control and Ash just straight up murdered the guy 😭 poor kid
yeah and that he's still a kid. a kid who grew up with drugs and violence all around him. he didn't really get a chance to be a normal kid- as far as the series showed- all his life, he knew that fez and him have to protect each other bc of their way of living. that's all he's ever known. that's why he's impulsive.

This is my favourite scene from the series. The way Faye drops the glass and looks at Fez to warn him was such a simple scene. I cant help but compare he over the top scene of Rue running from the cops. I felt nothing watching that. The simplicity and realism of this scene, it had me on the edge of my seat. And the realization of where Faye's loyalties truly lay and seeing her choose to try and protect them filled me with joy and excitement for her character. Not to mention the flawless and confident way she spoke the cover up story. She put herself on the line speaking up. I love the character development.

The way Ash starts shaking and regretting everything as soon as Fez lets him know about the phone on the table... He's just too impulsive :( They could have gotten out of the situation peacefully. I know SWAT team was already outside but Faye's plan was actually good and no one would have died

Idk but she is very coherent here and was very much sober in this scene and I like that a lot. She isn't stupid at all, she just thinks a little slow sometimes. Anyways I just really like her character. Her style is always cute too!! I hope she makes an appearance next season and is friends with Fez still after this mess. Not sure what's gonna happen to them, wondering who all will be arrested.

I’m hoping to god that the cops raid Lori’s place and find out all the sketchy shit she is doing. Then Fez will be let off the hook, and Rue won’t get kidnapped if Lori is locked up. But that is probably wishful thinking bc we all know this show is going to pick the most shocking and upsetting plot.
A sad part of this episode was when Fez dreamt of living on a farm and raising a family then all of a sudden shit went down and he already knew the dream isn’t going to happen.
I feel like the moment Fez looked at the crumpled card he was gonna give to Lexi on the ground when the shootout happened was the moment he realized that😢
I think in the end faye chose to warn fez because she realized that fez and ash were good people who didn't deserve to go down for what they did. She grew to like them and decided to give her loyalty to them instead of her rat boyfriend. Loved her character development.

Carl grew up in a world filled with zombies and cutthroat people which made him lose his kid like innocence in order to adapt. I was super sick though after this episode. I really wanted Fez to see Lexi play. He was so excited for her and they meshed well together. All the rewinds of them having deep phone conversations made me so effing sad, because I knew the what was coming. I wanted a happy ending dammit😭
Ash growing up in that environment and him having the mind set of them being at war every time some shit goes down- he felt the need to be on edge so he can make a move that’ll protect people around him. So impulsively though. The show is so damn realistic, showing where the kids mind at when shit really goes down. Being in that kind of environment isn’t made for the growing process of a kid. On different movies where it’s not so realistic- Ash probably would’ve kicked ass or wouldn’t show any signs of clear mental health for us to know it’s a problem the way he handles things in this episode

Love this scene, Faye plays it great she actually plays just ditzy enough that Custer is genuinely confused why she's saying what she's saying. For me the moral of this story is just with fezco, he treated Faye with decent enough respect even though he didn't have to, and that went so far for Faye that she turned on her own boyfriend for him.
The actor who plays Ashtray is so talented. So many things conveyed without him saying a word. His face went from pure menace to childlike fear when he realised he was finally in a situation which would result in death. Ashtray appeared to be this very street smart child in a toxic world. I loved watching the moment when it dawns on him that Custer is about to jeopardise his and his brother's freedom. He consistently responds to a problem with violence which is exactly how he was trained to respond by his grandmother from a very young age. It's like having a loyal but dangerous and poorly trained dog that gradually becomes more difficult to control as it gets exposed to increasingly more stressful stimuli. The dog will always respond by attacking.
I loved Ash as a character, but to be realistic, he was far too gone, far too deep into a very dark world, he was a child in years, but he has seen and lived more than people in their 40's. People rooting for him are the same ones that are happy every time a 14 yo gangster is shot in the streets.

I like how ash instincts told him something was “off” about custer, so he came to sit within striking distance of him. The Fez came in, read the room, and he also picked up something was wrong.
Ash's overreaction felt really out of character. I know he was still a kid but they were in similar situations before were he was more controlled. The show runners really shot themselves in the foot killing of a character with so much potential like ash. Edit: you can stop commenting I know I was wrong. But Ash still deserved better man
I don't think it's out of character. He killed Mouse at the beginning of the season and was beating the fuck out of Cal Jacobs. Everyone saying Ashwas impulsive but parts of it was definitely calculated. He saw custor and faye whispering and in that moment he already made the decision to kill Custor since he knew that Fez did not see the interaction and it's not like he would go to Fez and just bring it up. He sat next to him waiting for the opportunity and the second he got it he acted. This show is amazing
At this point Faye just saved rue's life from Laurie for season 3 because fez is going to jail no matter what and can't protect rue. Fez DNA is all over Custer's mouth
She either made things better and Laurie is gone or she made things much worse. There's always a bigger fish in the drug trade and they will come for that money.

Love this scene, Faye plays it great she actually plays just ditzy enough that Custer is genuinely confused why she's saying what she's saying. For me the moral of this story is just with fezco, he treated Faye with decent enough respect even though he didn't have to, and that went so far for Faye that she turned on her own boyfriend for him.

The actor who plays Ashtray is so talented. So many things conveyed without him saying a word. His face went from pure menace to childlike fear when he realised he was finally in a situation which would result in death. Ashtray appeared to be this very street smart child in a toxic world. I loved watching the moment when it dawns on him that Custer is about to jeopardise his and his brother's freedom. He consistently responds to a problem with violence which is exactly how he was trained to respond by his grandmother from a very young age. It's like having a loyal but dangerous and poorly trained dog that gradually becomes more difficult to control as it gets exposed to increasingly more stressful stimuli. The dog will always respond by attacking.

I loved Ash as a character, but to be realistic, he was far too gone, far too deep into a very dark world, he was a child in years, but he has seen and lived more than people in their 40's. People rooting for him are the same ones that are happy every time a 14 yo gangster is shot in the streets.

Ash is literally one of the smartest and calculated characters on this show but he has intrusive thoughts and makes impulsive decisions just like everyone else on this show. Only difference is that when he does it, it can actually cause his life which in this case it did.

i mean she might've accidentally saved rue's life and they'll probably let fez go (no pun intended) in season 3. ash showed that he is dangerous by shooting the cops. they'll probably find ash's dna on the knife that killed custer and put the pieces together.
I like how ash instincts told him something was “off” about custer, so he came to sit within striking distance of him. The Fez came in, read the room, and he also picked up something was wrong.
Ash's overreaction felt really out of character. I know he was still a kid but they were in similar situations before were he was more controlled.
The show runners really shot themselves in the foot killing of a character with so much potential like ash.

I don't think it's out of character. He killed Mouse at the beginning of the season and was beating the fuck out of Cal Jacobs. He's too young and doesn't think things through he just lashes out to protect people. He also didn't know about Custer working for the police, if he knew then maybe he would of been controlled.
It was true to character. He straight up murdered mouse and attempted to murder Custer at the beginning of the season.
The actor is gonna be on Umbrella Academy so that’s probably why they let him go out like that

i saw someone comment on how they hate ash for his part in the situation and the series in general. i think i like his character because it just feels so real and hits close to home for me or people i know who’ve gone off being impulsive and made mistakes. except well he murder 2 people but it’s what i expect him to do. he’s a boy who’s grown up in this extremely dangerous environment so he’s either gonna fight or flight and he chooses to fight every time because that’s the way he reacts to these traumatic situations

Everyone saying Ashwas impulsive but parts of it was definitely calculated. He saw custor and faye whispering and in that moment he already made the decision to kill Custor since he knew that Fez did not see the interaction and it's not like he would go to Fez and just bring it up. He sat next to him waiting for the opportunity and the second he got it he acted. This show is amazing

At this point Faye just saved rue's life from Laurie for season 3 because fez is going to jail no matter what and can't protect rue. Fez DNA is all over Custer's mouth
She either made things better and Laurie is gone or she made things much worse. There's always a bigger fish in the drug trade and they will come for that money.
