Thanks for catching up with us! We've had a really good homeschool year so far, but it has not come without its challenges. Some days are better than others and of course, I could not predict the type of day we would have this day. Like everyone else, we have good moments, but also trying and refining moments. I could share only the highs of the day, and while I won't share personal details, you can get a general idea that not every moment is picture perfect....and that's ok! We're all a work in progress and difficult days come with the territory. I'm sharing a real look into our homeschool day as an encouragement to others who may feel like they're the only ones whose days are not always picture perfect.

I haven’t appreciated a video more than this one. Quite often our homeschool days look like this and I was worried we were the only ones. So many videos portray a perfect and easy homeschool day and that’s just not reality for us.😂

So glad you could relate 😅
It’s not that people (myself included) are necessarily trying to make it look like everything is all great and put together…but the internet can be harsh and it’s a fine line with kids and tricky to navigate in a video. I was nervous about this video too for that reason. But like I said, I didn’t give specifics about them, but just showing general sibling bickering and distractions which is common with EVERYONE.

Oh my goodness, those baby cheeks are so kissable! How adorable. It's so nice to see a homeschool day similar to ours. Noise, chaos, interruptions, babies... Those quiet, calm discussions around a table that I see on RUclips are so far from my reality, it's nice to see someone else in the same boat.

I never post comments on videos, but I had to comment on this one! I have five children that I’m homeschooling and while I love it, it is very challenging. Your video really was a pick me up. Knowing that other mamas are managing similar situations that I am is comforting in a way. We aren’t alone in this wonderful but difficult journey of educating our children. You are doing a wonderful job! Thanks for inspiring other!

Yep, these days are well known in our house too. I felt the bickering 😂 When it’s over something silly I get them together and say okay you’re playing ping pong with each other (I explain how they’re keeping it going), raise your hand if you want to stop passing the ball. Usually, at first only one of them will say yes and so I remind the resistant one that he’s keeping a game for two going with only one player and so then whatever they were fighting about gets dropped. I think it kind of makes them realize what they’re arguing about is kind of silly.
Not saying this is a perfect formula! It’s just something I’ve started doing recently with my two older ones.
As number 4 out of 7 kids, I know it will either get better as they mature or they will still be at it and it will just look different.

This was a great video! I'm so thrilled for you that you have an easy baby and I hope it continues with an easy toddlerhood because I found that stage more difficult. You are so blessed to have this kind of energy. Whenever I had babies and was nursing, I always had to take a long nap in the afternoon when the baby was sleeping. So we had no choice but to get all of our school done by lunchtime. We were not able to cover as much material as you are. As a result we always just did school in our Pj's LOL. I would get dressed after my nap, so at least 1/2 of my day I looked decent 😂
