Being a first timer, I will definitely recommend Blackbeards… but I always tell everyone you don’t really have to choose. The places are only approximately 30 minutes away from one another if you wanted to check them both out. If you’ve never been on a vacation like this before just imagine all inclusive which is Blackbeard’s resort that also includes well… you know lol that too.
I think they have been Improving in that Department… they now how the removable Shower heads that you can get the shower head right up against your body as well

I drive it all the time when I go to Dominican republic I usually do both places I think it’s easy it’s only one road connects the one area to the other area. I absolutely think that you should do both because everybody’s criteria is a little bit different so depending on what you’re looking for one place can be better than the other, but they’re not far away enough that you absolutely have to choose either. You could always go down and do both Why choose when you can have it all. Lol
Not that i know of…im sure there is a bus service or you would have to get a taxi. I always rent a car so i drive personally but i know a lot if people don’t want to do that.
There are a few places to park at the resort but it’s just alone the road like next to hotel. It’s a sleepy town so there is VERY Little traffic… like almost non existent traffic lol so your good to go that way I would not worry about the parking.
I have flown in Santiago airport before and rented a car and drove from there to Puerto Plata. It’s actually a really nice drive. For some reason people are very scared to drive in the Dominican republic but I’ve never had a problem. A lot of times now I just use Puerto Plata because it’s just closer and if the price isn’t too much higher, it’s worth it.
