Perspectives! It's all about how you look at things. Wendy is more of a pessimist whereas Wei because of her positive approach towards things is doing better than Wendy...she's getting along well with Helen, is able to make friends out the Chinese circle at school, doing good in studies while Wendy is nothing but surprised and jealous at the same time.
I can understand Wendy. I've been in Wendy's position before, having a hard time adapting to a new environment. and once envied a newcomer who turned out to be much more developed than I was
@@shay77777yeah I think Meiling is a character foil of Wendy, except she has more success assimilating into the white or American culture. Wendy on the other hand probably had a difficult time and ended up only befriending fellow disillusioned Chinese students. Notice that Wendy has a banner of Stanford, her mom projects her dreams of success in America when she’s not doing well, and her friends even tell her that Meiling reminds them of what she was like when she first arrived. Def dealing with themes about fellow immigrant dynamics and assimilation
That is why their country is built upon a crumbly sand foundation. Too many Wendy 's. Not enough Meiling's. Also the passive aggressive Wendy 's living in my community just litter egregiously everywhere can't stand it.

Why did this get so little views?!! So interesting. Its a sad ending tho with the girl getting beat up... I wish it had shown what happened next.
Oh this channel is so underrated
Tht ended abruptly.
Crazy ending. 😐

you obviously didn’t get it if you think it was bad
@@soooonami I never said it was bad.
@@tiredox3788 that’s what you implied
@@soooonami No. That's you applying it. Why I said crazy ending because I didn't expect her to beat her up. I never said the story was bad.
Really interesting film. Hopefully Wendy will find an outlet for that rage. Meiling will go on.
I don't quiet get it, I like the music though.
Basically she was at jealous at the new girl for fitting quickly compare to her.
What?

"Their country" is built upon sand foundation? And what are the United States built on? Dried blood and human torment.
