  • Hi to my beloved badminton family!
    In this video, I took the YONEX Astrox 77 Pro to the courts and gave some lucky players the chance to have a hit with it. The players also gave their opinion on the racquet and I felt that it would be great to get an outside perspective for the viewers and not just hearing what I had to say about it. Thank you to everyone who participated and I hope that this video has given a bit more insight into the review and feedback for the NEW YONEX Astrox 77 Pro.
    Towards the end of the video there is a feedback given in Vietnamese for all my VN badminton family!
    Please don't forget to "Like" this video as it helps my channel to grow, click the "Subscribe" button and turn on that "Bell" notification.
    See you all in my next video!
    Take care and stay safe.

    A bit surprise at the end, didn’t expect a Viet but I’m all for it. Awesome racquet and the vertical format is quite unique. Keep up the good work.

    Yonex Astrox 77 pro is the best racket with a grip that is very comfortable to use for all level players, from beginners, intermediate to advanced level players.

      Hi Rayhan Chowdhury,
      How are you? well your not wrong! with the medium flex, thin shaft, head heavy balanced and used friendly specs the Astrox 77 Pro would be more user friendly for all levels if compared to say a VTZF II. :)

    Hi there! Great video :)) would be awesome to get some interviews from advanced - pro players too ! :) I feel like they always give the harshest yet most honest crits for the rackets as they’ve been playing for so long :) but either way it’s nice to see this new format of racket review, keep it up !! 👍👍👍

    • @thebadmintonserve
      @thebadmintonserve  2 года назад +1

      Hey Nic! Whats happening? hope you are well. Yes, I also agree with you because if we can get a bigger demographic of players levels to try it out we can definitely get a broader insight with the feedback! Most definitely bro. Because the latest racquet release may not always be the best racquet for certain styles of play. Agree with you champ and thank you for the encouraging feedback! :)

    • @nicholasng8322

      You’re heading the right direction with the right passion and enthusiasm! Keep it up :)
      I suggested the above because lots of other RUclips reviews are quite one-sided I feel haha. I’ve heard reviews from people saying that the Yonex pro-series are the best, yet my friend who was an ex-state player but still plays at an advanced level - he hates all the Astrox pro and Arcsaber pro rackets 🤣 Yonex made it too beginner friendly to use, maybe for profit, but that sacrifices the feeling that pros like in their old rackets. He is sticking to gen 1 for all astrox and arcsaber models :) in the end, its all about personal opinion of how the racket feels so as u said, will be interesting to see the different opinions from different levels :)

    Keep up good works, bro! Looking forward to this racquet launch, we just had a section to test new As77P yesterday during VietNam Opens tournament here in Sai Gon, unfortunately I was not available on that time. But it's good to here positive feedbacks from players in your videos. (especially the last guy :D)

      Hey Bro. How are you? Oh wow ok!! yes i have been watching the Vietnam Open and it was fantastic! Thuy Linh Nguyen played such a fantastic tournament! She played so well in the final as well. Credit goes out to Goh Jin Wei for making the final and also playing a great tournament too. Thank you for your encouraging feedback and if I see that last guy somewhere, I will make sure to tell him that he is a very popular guy haha.

    Great video bro! So which version of old astrox 77 mostly like new version 77 pro?

    • @thebadmintonserve
      @thebadmintonserve  Год назад

      Xin Chao Anh! how are you? ok so when compared to the astrox 77, the 77 Pro was less clunky to swing around. Definitely generated power easily with clears and smashes. Control was not compromised due to the E.B cap plus which enhances the snap back of the shaft. YONEX made the right enhancements for Gen 1 Astrox 77 users to transition to the Gen 2 77 Pro. I have a video lined up of random players whom I gave them to test the Astrox 77 Pro and they gave their feedback which I will be posting up soon :). Hope this helps with your answer :).

      Hey Francis Emmanuel. Sorry for the delayed response as I was at back to back tournaments so just catching up with all the comments now. How have you been? ok so when compared to the astrox 77, the 77 Pro was less clunky to swing around. Definitely generated power easily with clears and smashes. Control was not compromised due to the E.B cap plus which enhances the snap back of the shaft. YONEX made the right enhancements for Gen 1 Astrox 77 users to transition to the Gen 2 77 Pro. In my opinion it is definitely worth the upgrade from the Gen 1. You will appreciate the Gen 2 much more haha. Hope this helps with your answer :).

    • @TheHi-T
      @TheHi-T 2 года назад

      Yonex releases rackets at different price points: PRO, TOUR, GAME, & PLAY. The PRO do perform the best. I am having a blast playing with the Arcsaber 7 PLAY. I'm sure if you do your research in deciding which specs you prefer you'd find a racket that is right for you. I highly recommend paying the shop to restring the racket rather than play with factory strings.

      Hey Andrey Vecina. Hope you are well :). dont be sad. Train hard, win tournaments and maybe Yonex will sponsor you haha. As Hi! T! mentioned. Yonex come out with a few different price point racquets in the same style so there is definitely a racquet which you can definitely purchase. Thanks for the replies to the both of you :).

    Feel like it is an user friendly zf2. Do u feel like that?

    • @thebadmintonserve
      @thebadmintonserve  2 года назад +1

      Hi 芝麻開門 , how are you? yes well the zf2 is a smaller head, extra stiff shaft, head heavy, its definitely a tough racquet to use if your not a high level player to really get the full potential out of that racquet. If you are looking for generating power, smashes, punch clears, more of the wrist player then definitely the Astrox 77 Pro will be easier to use than the zf2. But i do agree with you in terms of saying that yes you can sort of say that the Astrox 77 Pro is somewhat of a user friendly zf2 haha! :)

  • @thanhlongkohat

    I feel like it's a bit similar to Arcsaber 11 pro. Can you confirm? Thanks.

    • @thebadmintonserve
      @thebadmintonserve  2 года назад +1

      Hey Thanh Long Ko Hat. How are you? the Arc Saber 11 Pro is going to be a stiff shaft, even balanced racquet aimed more so for the all rounder controlled attack style of play. For the Astrox 77 Pro, that is a head heavy balanced, medium flex shaft aimed more so for the players preferring a comfortable hitting feel while searching for increase in their shot power. So these two racquets would not be similar. Not to say that either racquet cannot attack or control, it's just with the specifications of each racquet that they target a certain style of play with. Hope this somehow assists in answering your question bro. :)

    Do you think new astrox 77 pro will suit all round type player?

    • @thebadmintonserve
      @thebadmintonserve  2 года назад +1

      Hi Weird Flex. Hope you are well! Yes I would say that the Astrox 77 Pro can suit all round type players too... it is a head heavy balanced racquet so it is still quick to maneuver around as well as generate power with smashes. The E.B Cap Plus helps the snap back which also helps with the control as it stabilizes the shaft quicker for control shots too. But in saying all of this it depends on the level of the player too. This racquet is more towards the player who is looking for hitting feel and looking to generate power easier. :)

      Hey Anh! Hey Ashley. How are you both? Let me see if my explanation helps below :).
      Astrox 88d pro
      Frame: HM graphite, volume cut resin, tungsten
      Shaft: HM graphite, Namd
      Flex: Stiff
      Racquet Length:673mm
      Shaft length(top of EB Cap to racquet head): 212mm
      Shaft diameter: Approx 6.5mm
      Features:
      1 namd
      2. Aero+box frame
      3. Isometric head shape
      4. Rotational generator system
      5. Solid feel core
      6. Extra slim shaft
      7. EB Cap Plus
      8. Volume cut resin
      9. New built in T joint
      Astrox 77pro
      Frame: HM graphite
      Shaft: hm graphite, namd
      Flex: Medium
      Racquet Length: 673mm
      Shaft length(top of EB Cap to racquet head): 222mm
      Shaft diameter: Approx 6.5mm
      Features:
      1. Namd
      2. Aero+box frame
      3. Isometric head shape
      4. Rotational generator system
      5. Flex fuse (New Material placed in joint to absorb shock and release a mild hitting feel.
      6. Super slim shaft (slimmest racquet ever produced by YONEX reduces air resistance)
      7. 10mm longer shaft (longer shaft length flexing more when smashing)
      8. EB Cap Plus.
      For me personally, I like the feel of the Astrox 77 Pro NOT because it is the latest racquet release but because of the longer shaft, more whippy, generates power easily, medium flex and even though it is a head heavy balanced, it makes up for it with the longer shaft so the control is also very good too from the E.B cap plus! Hope that answers your question :).

    • @thebadmintonserve
      @thebadmintonserve  2 года назад

      Hi Frost Raider. Hope you are well. The players who had previously used the Gen 1 77 and tested the 77 Pro have said that it is. When I was testing it i also came down to the conclusion that it had more whip than the Gen 1 with the slimmer shaft and the E.B Cap plus combination.
