Yo thanks for the oil change asmr my g 😂 that was a great walk through. Just picked up the bike a few months ago and im at like 3500 on the clock (bought it just under 3000)so i was like ay lemme throw some new oil in it. I think i overfilled it a bit but ehh rather have too much than too little lol
always always drill out the nut on the oil drain plug 1/16 dia drill then wire it up after oil filled to frame lug with slot in it. you will never loose your oil plug. to same with filler cap. if you come back to bike and the filler wire is cut . You know someone has tampered with it don't start engine.
Only rookies and dumbasses lose a drain plug. Never done that, never lost a drain plug on any car or motorcycle. You might be right on a sports bike but I have a 300cc. Nothing too powerful. But technically still don't need that if you do the job correctly
I recommend using any oil specifically for 4 strokes. Idk if mobile 1 makes oil for motorcycles, don't get me wrong, 10w40 is thick enough oil, but I think the 4 stroke oil has different additives than regular engine oil.
@@HODGYMOTO the bottle says “advanced full synthetic, 4 cycle motorcycle oil” if that makes it any better, sorry this is my first bike and oil change so im a bit new to this
Bro I think my engine might have taken damage 😢 She ran out of oil (prolly burning on the highway) and I lost power for 3s...then the engine came back and was making knocking sound almost like a diesel engine on idle. This was at 5200km only (oil change due at 8,000) I'm watching this and hoping when I drain what's left, there are no metal shavings 😢do I have to torque the oil filter case bolts to exactly 9lb-ft? Cause the service dept told me to make sure of that.
Damn! Do you know what viscosity was in it before? Once making that noise I don't think just an oil change will fix it but obviously worth a shot. Also yes torque the drain plug or not, either way, just make sure it doesn't come off! Lol and check to see for leaks after you've completed the oil change
@@HODGYMOTO There were metal shavings in the drained oil which was less than half of the drained volume mentioned in the oil change manual. So I'm not gonna try putting oil in and starting it...gonna get it towed to Honda I guess
@tkd1054 by canister I assume you mean quart, one quart of oil per bottle. And I used both. Takes around 1.6 quarts so one whole bottle and around half of the other
You just saved me 60 bucks 🎉🎉thank you
Really easy oil change! You got it! Just make sure you install the oil filter and the pieces the same way they came off and you're good!
didn't even know these little things had oil filters in em, props for the video
Thank you for watching!
Great video! Can you tell me the name of the screwdrivers you used?
I show them in the video and no screwdrivers only sockets with a ratchet. I believe 12mm for the drain plug and 8mm for the oil filter bolts
If possible could you do the spark plug i would like to change mine
I do plan on doing it! I have done it once and it's a bit of a hard one to complete but I will make a video!

Yoo thank you for watching my video!! Also that's sick that you got one! I hope you been enjoying it! Also it should take around 1.5 quarts of oil!

does mobile 1 racing 4t, 10w-40 work?

Oh nice! That seems legit! Didn't know they made motorcycle oil that's cool! And no problem! Thank you for stopping by to watch my video🔥
@@HODGYMOTO Of course man!!

How many litres of oil should be put
Was that just one cannister of oil even though you had two sitting there in the video?

Cannister…yes mean quart. The word wasn’t hitting my brain as I typed it out.
How many litres need
1.6L
