    i can't believe you compare the skx bracelet to the wolbrook...the seiko bracelet has those clips on the back which scratch up the back of your lugs...not a solid end piece. total junk. further, i've had a number of skx divers and gave up on them because there's always something out of alignment, either the minute tracking ring inside the watch, the dial markers, or the bezel misaligns. not to mention no hand winding or hacking. the wolbrook is a straight on winner. aside from comparisons, i just love it. one thing you didn't mention is that the original wolbrooks were made of chromed brass. i don't know if they had any with steel, but i'd always see them and want to buy them, but the chrome cases stopped me...so now i can get them with a steel case. not meant to knock your review, which i liked, but to add some points to it.

      I appreciate it! Have you worn this model? I love the look of the Wolbrook and all your points are fair, but I’m telling you, the SKX bracelet is more comfortable by far

    I love it. I've been eyeing up a Wolbrook for a while and I don't have particularly hairy wrists and I am used to the sharp (ish) case back from a Steeldive so I think I'm going to go ahead. I want the BGW9 version and I'm happy with acrylic. Thanks for your review.

    They actually have had the same black/white colour combo for the sapphire version. I was going to buy it but then it was shown as out of stock. After a few weeks they then seem to update the website and remove the sold out items. I’ve seen them do it with the chronos too and then a few months later they re-list them again. Hoping they do that for this one. They also had some really nice blue versions that are no longer on the web site.

    Micro brands unfortunately have finishing issues like “sharp” engraving on the case back. I had a Phoibos with the same issue. Good review.

    Nice Watch...miss seeing the date...like the white/black crown...not crazy about the abrasive back or getting my wrist hairs caught
    in the bracelet. I would go with the Seiko.
    Arthur's really cute!!
    Happy Fourth to you and your family!!

      I may try and polish the caseback to see if it helps, but the wrist hair pulling is unavoidable for me unfortunately. And thank you, happy fourth to you and yours as well!

    Could be thinner... "super thin" is watches like Glycine Combat Sub at about 11 mm. In fact, there are 10mm sport/dive watches out there. 15-20 seconds per day is bad. If it's 7 seconds, it not that bad😂

    2:55 The lift angle for the 8315 is 51°. Having an incorrect setting will not affect the rate displayed by the timegrapher...it affects the amplitude reading.

    They made it very similar to the Glasshütte Original SeaQ

    • @the1010watchclub
      @the1010watchclub  2 года назад

      Yes very similar designs, but I’m not sure if the Glasshutte was first? The Wolbrook Douglas dates back to the 60s

    • @OlafSota
      @OlafSota 2 года назад

      @@the1010watchclub I also don’t know which one was first but if the watch on the right hand side of the booklet you showed is the original one, you can see it had different Arabic numerals (3, 6, 9 and 12 vs even numbers), the hour hand and not the minute hand was an arrow hand and the second hand was different. I would argue that before the only resemblance was coming from the font and it was actually the three changes above that made it look more similar to the GO SeaQ.

      The Glashutte was earlier than the Wolbrook. In fact, the original skindivers that came to market were the Zodiac, The Blancpain, and the Glashutte. Everyone else, including Rolex, followed their designs.@@the1010watchclub

    I did buy a Wolbrook a while back and cannot wear it as the band is way too small. I feel I am a pretty normal sized guy as far as wrist size goes. For some reason all the watch bands I have tried are too small. My wrist is 9.125" or 23.175cm.

    This is a homage watch of the current Glashutte Original Sea Q . The original dial design was also GO's. The spezimatic, from the 60's

      Did Glashutte release their watch first? This Wolbrook design is from their release from the 60s too

    • @billcore6295
      @billcore6295 Год назад +3

      Several watch manufacturers released this dial in the 1960s..... it is re-release of their watch from the 60s.... it may not be an exact re-release but it is similar

    • @berionceleithil
      @berionceleithil Год назад +2

      In the 60s this was a very classic skindiver design. Wolbrook used it, Airain did und in 1969 GO hopped on that train, too.
      But it never was 'their' design.
