Hello Guys,
This was my last day of Afghanistan, and there were lots of places which were left from my to-do list, but in the end, I decided to meet the Sikh & Hindu community of Afghanistan, Kabul. Due to the current situation of the country, things are really different for the minorities in Afghanistan. Although the government of Afghanistan is really trying to protect their rights with the current environment of Afghanistan, it is tough. I visited some Gurudwaras & Hindu temples in Kabul so that I can get a closer look at the lifestyle of Hindus & Sikhs.

The gurudwara sahib in this video has been attacked by militants today and 32 sikhs have died in this attack ... That's why govt had banned other people to enter the sikh gurudwara and hindu temple in Afghanistan ... I want to share my experience in past about Hindo and Sikh people s in Afghanistan .In past people’s who lived in Kabul were more educated nd knows about the city cultures and has respect for everyone but after 1991 a lot of Afghans people’s came from Pakistan and they doesn’t know how to treat minority in Afghanistan .I had self Sikh classmate he was my best friend Nd we had all respect for him .I went to his house and also I invited him to my house we eat together and go to university together .Im still thinking about him might be I can see him one day in Europe or any other country cuz I love him and I fell too close for him .its shame now people’s are not respect as should to be #

I’m from Afghanistan but I live in London for last 20 years it’s not that just our Hindu and Sikh brothers been effected and lift Afghanistan . All people doesn’t matter which tribe everyone has been effected as you know at least 10 million Afghans lift Afghanistan 3 millions killed in last 40 years of war . But still I feel very sorry to hear that our Sikh and Hindu brother were treated bad . I have good memories from our sikh brothers in karte parwan Kabul God bless them all.
I also feel sad for them. How painful life they are leading. If minoriries can live here with head high. Then whynot these Hindus and Sikh can live here. They look so unhappy, helpless innocent by their face and talk.

On a different note, it is wonderful to see how well Sikh community have put up in such a difficult place. They even have a guest house for musafir for free!!! Wonderful community
Sikhism does not differentiate between a person's class, religion or sex. All are equal.
Free staying is just a part of our practice in Gurudwara. You can go inside any Gurudwara and worship. No one will ask you your religion but will tell you certain rules to follow to respect Guru. Like covering your head and not take photos with you back turned to anything that is religious.
Langar is also served to everyone and anyone. No money is expected. It's upto you if you want to volunteer your service at Gurudwara.

I saw both the videos of Kabul showing temple and gurudwara. I was just seeing the face of the kids and adults, became thoughtless and tears started coming out. I am praying all day for the well-being of my Hindus and Sikhs brothers and sisters present in Afghanistan. I am deeply sorry that I am unable to help you.
