Being fair with it, it's not bad... For a mobile game. While it's really far from what you'd expect from pokemon, it kind of works in its own weird way. You can pass most of the game (exceptions are bonus areas) without grinding too much, energy recharges quickly enough so you can play a decent amount without using any special currency, and trying to complete the "curry dex" that you use to get new Pokemon is surprisingly fun
I find it funny that everyone keeps comparing this to Pixelmon despite the fact that the only similarity between the two is their appearance. Gameplay-wise, there is nothing in common between the two. Also, just to spite your seemingly random distaste of Eevee, I think you should play that one. Game Freak wants to make Eevee a secondary mascot, so there you go.
It's mostly a joke that people are drawing similarities with pixelmon, but with Nintendo's track record of stealing popular fan ideas it just makes it all the more memeable
Liam White Personally, I don't see it that way. While Pikachu is more of a mascot for the anime, Eevee feels like a better representation of the game's evolution system. Its multiple possibilities feel more symbolic of the series as a whole when compared to Pikachu.

I know this is about Pokemon Quest but I just want to put this out there. Why is Nintendo SO against fan projects? Look at SEGA, a company that is VERY close to Nintendo. Hey, little tip from a guy who just started playing the game yesterday: You know how there's that main quest at the beginning of the game called something along the lines of "Starting your Expedition" or something? Don't accept the reward the moment after you finish it. The reward is a free complete recharge to your energy bar, and it might be a good idea to save it. Then again, the game just came out, so idk if doing that is worth it

Liam White Personally, I don't see it that way. While Pikachu is more of a mascot for the anime, Eevee feels like a better representation of the game's evolution system. Its multiple possibilities feel more symbolic of the series as a whole when compared to Pikachu.

I know this is about Pokemon Quest but I just want to put this out there.
Why is Nintendo SO against fan projects? Look at SEGA, a company that is VERY close to Nintendo. They saw fans making Sonic games but instead of shutting them down, they hired them to make the BEST Sonic game in a Decade.
Nintendo just shuts fans down and steals their idea (probably not but it feels like it). Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOVE Nintendo, but this is such a poor decision it hurts.

Hey, little tip from a guy who just started playing the game yesterday: You know how there's that main quest at the beginning of the game called something along the lines of "Starting your Expedition" or something? Don't accept the reward the moment after you finish it. The reward is a free complete recharge to your energy bar, and it might be a good idea to save it. Then again, the game just came out, so idk if doing that is worth it
you can overmax your bar with it so it doesnt matter when you use it
hey, lets just save this max revive and this silver sword til the end of the game to use against the final boss even though we get story-weapons/pokemon that make the last fight trivial.
