If Tibetan refugees are applying and get citizenship of North America, Europe or other countries then there is no problem for Tibetan getting citizenship of India if the Government of India issues according to law.

Tibetans in India should make use of every opportunity to educate and empower themselves. Otherwise they will find themselves behind with rest of India. What Dickey said about being lone Tibetan in college are all temporary more like a cultural shock and you will eventually get used to it. It should not be a big concern.
I am all pro for Indian Citizenship for Tibetans , but I think , in the long run , Human tendencies are to loose original identity if new is provided. India govt needs to really come up with some innovative ideas to make policies more inclusive and extend all rights to Tibetans.

This way, Tibetans who applied for Indian citizenship dont have to apply for a new citizenship either. China is bound to collapse in the next few decades due to their population collapse, but a small group of freedom fighters are still unlikely to get autonomy. Unless of course, you have India's direct military support and interest in the region.
all developed countries' populations are collapsing , India will be the winner at last ! Indians always are optimistic from every points , maybe the weather in India is different ?
war and occupation is not the solution but rather diplomacy and cooperation. What you propose likely would see border being pushed to U-Tsang from current Ladakh between India and China. Where Tibetans would be a collateral besides all the environment issue linked. This would not solve the border issue but rather escalate it even further as there are Tibetans living beyond U-Tsang if I am not wrong. Occupation which you bring here be it from India or China would be a big no-no. As the whole world is watching. Having an independent, free and sovereign Tibet acting as a buffer zone would be at the interest of all parties here in my opinion, especially to India. With the Dalai Lama being growing up in India there will be a strong tendency to support India from the Tibetan mass as well. However with each year and no movement on this front especially with the Dalai Lama getting old the problems would likely explode where all would lose, inlcuding India and China firstly, then Asia and the larger world.
I don,t think seeking citizenship of any country is wrong per sa. Even for Indians many of them have seeded citizenship abroad in almost all countries across the world and have intermingled with people abroad as well. But despite many generations they have kept their links with their language, culture and religion
Those who are eligible aren't mustering enough confidence to go opt for passport solely because the hesitancy of losing what they have entitled in Settlements, otherwise it would have been flooded.
Im glad that the young generation acknowledge the crisis but im afraid your aim 🎯 is in the wrong direction!! INDIA used to be that big mother-land with all those border nations as part of INDIA but was given freedom as they wanted! Now these same nations are loosing their land and again wanted to be INDIANS! If you want to be INDIAN you better be ready to fight for that land which was part of the motherland!
Personally, I believe Tibetans should not take the Indian Citizenship or of any other country, if the clause doesn't allow them to be dual nationals. The fire of FreeTibet must remail lit. Tibetan Citizenship, even if on paper is required for that. Im afraid that after few generations no Tibetan will even remember their roots. Indian Government must allow Tibetans all rights that an Indian Citizen gets.
There is a Tibet government in exile, this government should work on throwing China out of Tibet.I am surprised that UN is not doing any thing regarding the Chinese occupation.
There aren't just some, I'm pretty sure majority of the Tibetans in exile wouldn't go back to Tibet if given the chance to should Tibet ever be hypothetically free. Whatever the sentimental reasons maybe, it just wouldn't be practical or viable, nor would it be desirable for many.
What you said makes sense. Chinese history records that Tibet was Chinese territory 800 years ago. It is too difficult to talk about independence now. With the help of the United States, the exiled Tibetans took away the treasures of Tibet and fled to India. They are still receiving salaries from the CIA. Emotionally speaking, Tibetans in China now have a strong sense of identity with China because they understand the history of "Tibetan serfs". Overseas Tibetans love Tibet, but they don't understand the history of Tibet. When overseas Tibetans shouted for a free Tibet, why were the 7.05 million Tibetans in China indifferent? The McMahon Line drawn by the British was taken seriously by India. Whose territory is that? If overseas Tibetans want to go home, they must understand the history of Tibet and must know that the southern Tibet and Ladakh regions are actually part of Tibet. The 14th Dalai Lama should also make the history of "serfs" public so that overseas Tibetans can know it, instead of smearing China all day long. As long as the 14th Dalai Lama admits his mistakes, recognizes history, and negotiates with China, I think there is still a possibility of returning to Tibet. After all, Tibetans all over the world speak the same language and dance the same folk dance. It is really good to be able to live together. China is also a diverse and inclusive country. But since overseas Tibetans do not understand the history of Tibet, how can they say that they truly love Tibet and truly want to return to Tibet?
Tibetian in India, abroad, and at Tibet must put pressure on UN,western countries and America on China to vacate illegally occupied Tibet land and allow them live peacefully
i know that many tibetan don't take citizenship, but I think it'll not help your core cause anyways , once you get citizenship, you get connected to Central system of indian government opening many opportunities,, anyways you already know cuz most tibetans are born in India, I would urge tibetans to avail citizenship benefits but keep doing what your original cause was
Tibetans are great people but they have failed to understand the fact that non-violence as a tool for freedom struggle has never reaped any success. No amount of international support / representation on Multilateral platforms has benefitted them. They will have to fight for their land.
India welcomed Tibetans as refugees and provided land for them to live on and if Tibetans wan Indian citizenship then it is understood that they have to give up the free land and work as a tax payer like every other Indian citizen. With this said, there are many Tibetans, Afghanistans and Nepalis come to India for citizenship with the aim to migrate to USA and Canada. So there are opportunists,
Identity crises, no, Tibetan has no identiy crises ! They are originally Tibetan .citizanship crises is there .factually they are indo-tibetan .you are Tibetan who choose to prefer indian citizanship. Constitution of india says those who born in india , are eligible to have citizanship in india . Supreme Court of india gave verdict .
Thank you for this insight believe the implementation of the Tibetan Rehabiliation Policy (2014) by the Uttarkhand Secretariat has made many avenues accesible to Tibetans there many of whom have been brought and brought up in Uttarkhand.
Living for 3 gens in another friendly country without citizenship is not painful but tiring. They would not even be able to amass economic resources to fight for their country.
This is no identity crisis at all , Tibetan in China are Tibetan Chinese and those who are outside of China ,chosen to become citizens whoever countries they were granted for citizenship, so called Tibetan struggle or movement is nothing but a fantasy
We have no Problem , on accepting Tibetans as Indian citizens , you are like our brother and sister. But my question is why you are giving up your right on Tibet. We know the biggest blunder by China , and our corrupt leaders . Those who are objecting Tibetans as Indian citizen , they all are our enemy . We will fight for Tibet and it's independence.
none of the North East States are under Indian occupation. All of them have official accords and agreement in becoming part of India, including the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Please we humbly do get your facts right🙏
Even after living so many years in india, tibeteans don't learn hindi. While visiting none of the tibeateans was speaking hindi, also acting very rudely.
We believe you are wrong here as many Tibetans born and brought up in India speak Hindi fluently, with the language taught in Tibetan Schools throughout India. Many Tibetans in India besides speakinng Hindu fluently also speak the language in the region they are born and brought up in be it Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati etc.

Now these same nations are loosing their land and again wanted to be INDIANS! If you want to be INDIAN you better be ready to fight for that land which was part of the motherland!
give you a tip ,once Siberia was part of India, which is 10 times big of Tibet ....
Happy to accept the Tibetans to Bharat❤. Let the Tibet be free as it was before occupied by the corona 🦠 virus originators 😊
Thank you for sharing this insight with is🙏
what can you get from Tibetan's pain ?
Its been so long now Tibetan should go back and fight for their freedom❤
What is the year limit to apply for voter id card and citizenship
PROBLEM OF IDENTIDY WITH YOUNG TIBETANS ARE OPPORTUNITY PROBLEMS, IT IS A GOOD EXPERIENCES THAT ONE HAVE TO GO THROUGH.

U r bharatiya Tibetans ❤
What is that❓️
i know that many tibetan don't take citizenship, but I think it'll not help your core cause anyways ,
once you get citizenship, you get connected to Central system of indian government opening many opportunities,,
anyways you already know cuz most tibetans are born in India, I would urge tibetans to avail citizenship benefits but keep doing what your original cause was
Indian will protect Tibetan community
Tibetans, nepalese, sri Lankans and bhutanese are all indians especially those following indian religions
One day akhand bharat will be a reality🙏🏻
#FreeTibet ☸️
Fight for your own country with help from Bharat and other helping countries.
NABHLA mens Gorkha ❤
Tibetans are great people but they have failed to understand the fact that non-violence as a tool for freedom struggle has never reaped any success.
No amount of international support / representation on Multilateral platforms has benefitted them.
They will have to fight for their land.
If you need then apply for dual citizenship okay 👍 letter to PM modi along with all tribeten.
So there are opportunists,
During 1960 to 1970 India better than China Ur after 1980 to todays China fully developed and modernization with caring government.
Ask now who's want to be India citizens pls move be to India .
If all Tibetan refugees living in India 🇮🇳 take Indian citizenship then its big issue returning mother land one day
I prefer Tibetans in India🇮🇳 rather than Bangladeshi or Myanmar
བོད་ཡིན་དང་།
no segregation either..fellow Tibetans..just integrate
Free Tibet #NoOneChina
Buddhist Tibetans > Muslim Bangladeshis. Get them all a citizenship. Add them to CAA.
Tibetans are invited in Uttarakhand Himalayan region purchase land and spread buddha teachings and principles 🔱🐲❤️🔥
Thank you for this insight believe the implementation of the Tibetan Rehabiliation Policy (2014) by the Uttarkhand Secretariat has made many avenues accesible to Tibetans there many of whom have been brought and brought up in Uttarkhand.
Nah they should spread budhism in North eastern Region cause that's ruled by Christian missionaries who are a threat to India
Many Tibetans take Indian citizenship in order to leave India 🇮🇳 to abroad
We❤tibetians
Sorry those are separatist under India government, now are not Tibetan anymore' need to seek China government approved
You are Tibetan, why should you have any identity crisis? Fight for your country, optioning for citizenship would weaken your case
Tibetans schould be given Tibetan Passport.
Free the North East !!!, the states of Arunachal Pradesh (South Tibet), Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim etc, are under Indian occupation.
none of the North East States are under Indian occupation. All of them have official accords and agreement in becoming part of India, including the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Please we humbly do get your facts right🙏
After all they too are Sanatani
Tibet is an autonomous part of Bharat.. they can be both Tibetans and Bharatiyas.
Tibet was never Bharat
it is now. i drew a map.@@JOChab
@@anunrealproduction1438 nice just like the CCP huh?
Lord Shiva abode is in kailash which means Tibet was in india
@JOChab Lord Shiva abode is in kailash which means Tibet was in india
Liberate Tibet.
Tibeteans should learn hindi language to integrate. This
Even after living so many years in india, tibeteans don't learn hindi.
Hindi kyun sikhe wo? Mein odisha ka hun agar Tu odisha mei aake bolega ki hindi sikho to tuche pehle 4 lafa marunga. Rude wali baat Tu bol sakta hei but Tu ye nahi keh sakta ki tum ye language sikho
You're gravely mistaken mangalo ji, many Tibetans born even outside India are able to speak in Hindi, I know that from my personal experience
