My husband and I went to Croatia for our honeymoon in 2012. We visited Split and Dubrovnik (with many excursions to places like Trogir, Krka National Park, Hvar, and Korcula) Back then we were told is was a popular "holiday" spot for Europeans. Highly, highly recommend! It's beautiful! We are hoping to go back to visit Brac beach, Zagreb (the capital 😏), and Plitvice Lakes.

Dave Matthews Band fans have been doing this kind of travel for years, especially when they tour Europe every 3-4 years. I went to see DMB in Prague & Vienna in 2019. Going in a few months to see them in Amsterdam & Cologne. Gonna catch Depeche Mode in Cologne at the same time. DMB plays tiny venues in Europe (like only 3k people in Prague venue) - which is a HUGE treat (this is the case for many US artists, other than the Swifts & Styles types)! For me, these concerts there are the excuse to make a great trip & see places. I've made friends with a lot of EU & US fans, we're a connected community. I travel all over the US for DMB as well as other bands all the time and have for over 10 years. So I combine my love of travel, live music and connecting with new people this way. Its fantastic!

Since I’m an original Star Wars fan (watched in the theater as a kid in 1977), set jetting to Tunisia to visit the Tatooine movie sets that still exist would be on my list. I’ve done plenty of inadvertent set jetting already during my travels. Maya Bay, Phi Phi Islands, in Thailand where “The Beach” with Leo Decaprio was filmed became such a tourist hotspot that the Thai gov’t had to close it for a few years so the environment could recover from over-tourism. While in Bangkok on the same trip, I passed on going to the Hotel Lebua where several scenes from “The Hangover 2” was filmed because of the popularity & price increase the movie caused. Singapore is one of my favorite places, so several scenes from “Crazy Rich Asians” already have been visited. Burj Khalifa in Dubai (Mission Impossible 3) was visited even before the movie was made.

I'm not quite sure how or why Quebec City is compared to Geneva, but Quebec city has amazing food. I highly recommend (though its pretty far from the airport).

When you want to avoid an event, call it gig skipping. I do this when the marathon and the Ironman competitions are in town.

YES! I came here to say that I blame Travis for our Longhorn jinx!! Also I used my Hyatt points to go to the Sugar Bowl when last minute rooms opened. 24k for two nights at the Hyatt Regency for NYE and the Sugar Bowl plus I managed to convince my brother to start travel hacking. :)
