    Thanks for the review, the tread pattern alone looks well designed.

    Great video addition, I'm a believer in Motoz tires. I run them on all my adventure and dual sport bikes. My wife and I just returned from Tuktoyaktuk to Ushuaia, two up on a 1290 SAR, using only Motoz GPS 50/50 for the rear, we were always lucky enough to find Motoz venders along the way. I would prefer using the Tractionator along our trip but as you mentioned longevity was our main concern too.
    My one add to your video would be the limited performance of the GPS in wet conditions, the center strip on the tire would be always slip during acceleration, even with how much weight we had on our overloaded 1290 SAR. Overall, the GPS performed throughout the trip, street or dirt (not Bolivia sandy deserts)
    Our next trip is Africa and I think I’ll probably go with the Tractionator to start out, as Motoz will be harder to locate through that continent.
    Thanks again for the MotoZ review, always like the opinion of other adventure riders.

    Try the gps on the rear with the Dualventure on the front.
    A great all round combo imo.
    Gps was in the 50/50 direction.
    I just got back from a 1600km trip with about 600km of dirt, sand, gravel etc, and the went great.
    It was all dry though (mad max country 🇦🇺) 😎

    Thanks for the review, debating spending $180 on that rear.
    I got 12k miles out of the tractionator rallz tire rear on my klr650.

    Hi, thanks for the review
    In your trip with 95% on road with the GPS….that 5% off road is worth getting the adventure tire instead of the GPS?
    That’s my main concern. At what point is worth getting a better performance off road tire than an on road tire?
    Thanks!

      I don’t think it’s worth it if you’re mainly staying on the pavement. Last month we did over 1,000 miles of dirt on the California BDR and Arizona BDR and I was still running this tire. I aired it down to about 29 psi and it did fine.

    👍. How are the tyres holding up now? Are they good in the wet on road as well & what pressures were u running please?

    • @AdventureRig
      @AdventureRig  5 месяцев назад +1

      Holding up really well!! We have almost worn them out and will update a with a comment on mileages when we do. We run around 30 and 30 in front and rear.

      Wow. It’s going to be interesting listening to your opinions on these. Considering you’ve been able to run these side by side. Plus your actually the first person I’ve heard running the gps mostly off road direction, If you can speak a bit more about how the tyres handle on wet roads, in rain please?
      Cheers.

      We haven't had a ton of rain exposure but in my experience they were fine. See the comment above, they do not prefer them in rain. They're fine offroad but in deep sand not ideal. Would go with the ADV next and stick to that for both bikes!! But great for the CA/Mexico trip.

    That town at 1:28 looks exactly like Mulege, Baja Sur, Mexico......am I correct???

      No the shots in this video are all Mexico and Central America. But Mulegé is a beautiful town as well.

    Did you air down the gps in the dirt? Works great aired down.

    • @AdventureRig
      @AdventureRig  Год назад

      No. We only were on dirt for very short periods so it was not worth it. But the next trip here in the states I’ll try it!

    What time pressure(s) do you use? I understand we can get more grip at lower pressures along with smoother running at higher pressure. Your thoughts?

    • @AdventureRig
      @AdventureRig  Год назад +1

      Because we were mostly on the pavement and I was going for longevity, I ran them at a higher pressure then if I was riding off-road. For this trip I kept the rear at 36 psi. But if I was going to go into the dirt for the day I would definitely air down.

      @@AdventureRig Thank you for your reply and time. For my BMW G650 GS, I'm trying to establish if 25-30 PSI for dirt and 32-36 PSI on open road would be a good SOP (standard operating procedure). Once again I appreciate your time and sharing your experience.

    • @AdventureRig
      @AdventureRig  Год назад +2

      We've been really happy with them. I honestly felt well planted and they never got squirrely on us. For the amount of rain we found ourselves in they were great.

      GPS is very quite and noticeably less road noise then the Adventure.
