Hi Adam, it looks like you started at Satwiwa. Which trail(s) did you take to get to Boney, and did you go to Boney Peak specifically? I see the Boney Mountain traverse on AllTrails but that loop is 16 miles so I'm assuming you did an out and back? Thanks so much! I'm looking to do this very soon.
I took Wendy trail to the waterfall trail I believe it’s hard to say since the trail titles aren’t marked very well when you’re there - the side trail going up to Boney wasn’t labeled well either and lots of over growth- but there’s still a trail -it bears off to the right and then has switchbacks until the cabin - go past the cabin with more rocky narrow switchbacks and then it eventually opens up to the first rocky outcroppings of Boney with some really good views to here and back is almost 9 miles
Wow somehow stumbled upon this video. Thank you for making this. It’s a most special place and wow you got the rare experience to see sunset from up there. I have too. It’s so breathtaking. The connection with the Chumash makes all the more special.
