- Edit: I made this video in 2021 and in the year 2022 my very nearly favorite person in the whole world wore it, hence the thumbnail and title refresh more than a year later :D happy crocheting everyone~!
My first crochet tutorial! I'm very apologetic if anything is totally unclear about this tutorial. I might try and make a written pattern in the future, but I hope this gives the general idea of how I made these shapes. It would have been easier to crochet them top to bottom, rather than left to right, but I wanted to replicate the up and down ribbing from the inspo.
I'm working on learning more about editing and making tutorials so if anyone watching has suggestions I'm so open to them ^.^

I can certainly look into it, but it's a pretty involved project and I'm a little short on time so it will take me a little while to get to it ^.^ I'll come back and let you know if I do get around to it

These are so cute! I'm going to try to add them to a beanie. I want to do white and pink ears (Pink in the middle, white outside). Should I just use different coloured yarn or dye the yarn once I have completed the ears? Any tips welcome!
That's a really amazing idea! Definitely use different colored yarn and just change color mid-row. It's super simple and not going to make a mess and bleed everywhere like dye would ^.^ I have another crochet video coming where I show how to change color, otherwise there's a lot of great crochet creators on RUclips who could help you out with changing color mid-row ^.^

The ears I think has a spine(?) Like I saw it on beomgyu and there's shadows on the corner so the ear could stand up, probably a metal.
Ooooh I wonder if the stylist added that? I dont think I saw any wire on the website product photos for the original beanie but I've also never seen the hat in real life ^.^ Wire would be a great idea though, you could encase it in the last row of single crochets around the top of the ear!

Sweetie, I have a little problem, I beg you to help me as soon as you can. It turns out that my yarn takes up a 2-millimeter needle, so to make the ears of the beanie, I'm not sure if I should make the same number of stitches that you show me in the video. How many stitches should I make so that my ears are the correct size for my beanie?
Hi! Yarn that needs a 2mm hook is quite small so I would suggest starting out with double the stitches I used and going ahead like that to see how you like it? When I made my ears the first time I undid them a few times until I was happy with the size and shape so just try starting with double my starting stitches and seeing how you like it ^.^

I haven't made a tutorial for it but maybe I will? Until then I think the ribbed beanie by the turtle trunk here on youtube uses the same method I did to make mine ^^

hi! how many gram and ply the yarn did you use?
I recall I used a 100 gram ball of yarn but probably only used half of it, if that, for the ears not including the beanie. I believe it was 8 ply yarn? It's been a while so I hope I'm not miss remembering ^.^

When yours is better made than the original xD no hate to loverboy but even though I love the beanies ,the loose threads put me off to the point of having to cover the screen when seeing one.
Agreed, and to be honest making the beanie to resemble the loverboy one would be a lot harder than this type of beanie, too. Thank you for the lovely complement ^.^

What kind of yarn do you use?
It's called Cotton Roll by Brand Yarn. It's a chunky yarn and the package recommends using a size 7~9 crochet hook ^.^

I don't have a written pattern for it unfortunately. I made the pattern myself last year and wasn't sure how to write patterns at the time ^.^

Do you mean how to make the beanie? I learnt how to make the beanie on RUclips. ^.^ I can recommend 'Easy Breezy Ribbed Beanie - Beginner Crochet Beanie Tutorial' by The Turtle Trunk on RUclips. This video is great for learning how to make the beanie first. As for the ears, RUclips has a function where you can slow videos down. I recommend slowing the video down and crocheting together with me if you're having a hard time. It's a little complicated, but with a little patience I think you can do it! ^.^ I hope this is helpful. If there's a part you're really confused about I will try and help you in the comments!
