My favorite song from circa 1974/75 in 7th Grade. There was a popular TV show in the US at the time called "Kung Fu" starring David Carradine. Bruce Lee movies were popular at this time too. There were also dances on the TV dance show "Soul Train" that resembled Kung Fu moves. This song tapped into something popular at the time.

I like the music, but the lyrics are repetitive. You said KC & JoJo's All My Life wasn't strong throughout. Sorry, but the part you liked, I wasn't crazy about. I don't want my wife to be like my mother, father, sister, brother. A relationship between a man and his wife is special. You don't make love or have sex with the members of your family. You do make love and have sex with your wife.

This takes me back to when I was young. Martial arts culture was very popular in the 70s. The TV show “Kung Fu” was the show every kid watched.
For some reason I didn't want to like this song when I first heard it in the late 70's. I got over it. It's too fun to sing.
