I like this tank, it brings a new fun way to play and honestly doesn’t seem OP. It’s scary situationally but I feel like it evens out with the reload, camo and view range.
The new SU-2-122 has some weird issues too. It’s a double barrel tank yet it can use a gun rammer, unlike any of the other double barrel tanks. It also won’t let you turn the tank using your mouse in sniper mode like you can with other non-turreted tanks, where if you move your mouse outside of the traverse limits then it will turn the tank.
I don't play this game anymore but I admire your dedication for providing such quality content even though you played all of last week and were supposed to take this week off.
It's the most fun tank I've played the last 9 year, and pretty deadly if you use it as counter attack when tanks have low health or reloading. And the best, you can chase these wheelies and kill them so easy :) So fun when they try to run away from you in panic :)
@@oktawianc7456 depends on the map, 18 in one load out and only 6 in the other, sadly the tank has a terrible ammo capacity, I would take more otherwise, the wayI figure it's one clip to take out the enemy scout at the start then 2 clips for selected light armoured targets or rear shots on heavies, it's almost double the damage of regular ap so we'll worth taking. . You can get screwed by the matchmaker though, I was 2% away from getting my 3rd mark and it gave me Himmelsdorf and almost an entire enemy team of heavies to try and deal with so I only took 6 HE for that one, I run out of ammo almost every game which is the biggest fault with the tank imo.
@@johnfarscape my composition for this tank is: 1 clip "gold"| and one HE, rest od course is normal ammo. For now is the bug; if u change speed mode after first shoot, u shoot 1 shell. Looks like u shoot all 3 but in reality u shoot 1. So if u are so good, u easlily use these tip. I carry on this machine best equipment: went coated optics and low noise exhaust for spot, second for shooting - instead low nois system, im using stabilazer to make after shoot bloom smaller. Many times i do 0 in battle, becose stupid misplay. But still it is my new love in this game.
@@Astelch getting the timing right is crucial, sometimes I'm actually just waiting very close for an enemy to fire on maps where I can't scout then rushing around to their rear, I have over 1000 games in my T49 so it's the same way I was playing that, it's the damn Russian tanks that annoy me though with the magic spaced armour absorbing HE from the sides that winds me up though, I got a Superconk and a Kranvan in the rear this morning that were holding my team on the ridgeline, casual 2 almost full health tier 10 heavies in less than a minuit, next game out I failed to pen the Russian light tank lt432 which seems to have better armour than sone tier 10 heavies 🤣
The m50 is in the tech tree in Cold War mode on console, lol I’m nearly positive It’s basically ww2 mode with new tanks but super easy to get silver, it has true vision which means u can see enemy tanks without them being spotted
The M50 Ontos is in world of tanks console but they have a game mode for post WW2 tanks and main battle tanks And it’s insanely OP on console. The camo rating is so good you can be driving within a 100m of enemy tanks and they can’t spot you
Tank I wanted the most from boxes and only one I actually ended up getting. Great fun, sometimes does magic and 3k dmg sometimes you end up with 400 dmg. Best tank I got in a long time.
I'm just glad to have a full premium tier 9 that is fast. I'm shooting only regular rounds in it, my damage is usually limited to about 3k after all the missing and bounces. When I get the second build I'll do a damage dealing version with bond vstab but for now it's set for scouting. Overall I enjoy it but the big limit is your team, you need distractions and late game carries to make this tank work well.
I think it'd be neat if the different travel modes came with different fire modes, such as Rapid Mode firing bursts and Scout Mode firing single shot. Or swap them - Rapid is single shot and Scout is bursts? I'm not sure which method would be better to implement.
This thing is actually a wheeled vehicle with some tracks wrapped around the tires, i guess for difficult terrain. But weirdly, the track is not driven by teeth on a metal wheel, but by the roadwheels underneath it. So you should be able to drive it without the tracks on.
So in World of Tanks Blitz, the mobile edition of World of tanks, there’s this super powerful fake tank called the “Annihilator”. It had this exact mechanic but only one burst. It has 220 alpha and a 3 shell burst which translates to 660 damage in less than a second, 0.66 seconds after the first shot. Now a fun bug with this, is the fact you can destroy the gun while it’s firing. If you do this, it keeps the shell that wasn’t able to fire. There’s another tank in the game with the same mechanic, “Helsing”. This has a 2 shot burst instead. But here’s a weird mechanic that Annihilator has, the aiming circle doesn’t bloom out when it fires the first shot. Idk much about the Char but I think this might be worth trying to understand.
I used 1800 shamrocks to buy 2 emerald boxes in the shamrock store, 1 contained 1-50% credits booster personal reserves and the second box contained Char Mle. 75. I got super lucky.
I'd rather if it fired in 2-rd bursts and did 250 damage per shot. Same intra-clip, 3 second reload between bursts, 52.5 magazine second reload. Or Change the burst to 2-rds per burst 0.5 / 2 / 0.5 / 2 / 0.5 (same magazine burst time) Increase the AP pen to 225 Increase APCR pen to 260 Increase HE pen to 75 Increase the base view range to 380m Increase the normal mode base camo to 17.25% Changing the burst to 2 rounds would make it more flexible for dealing with enemy vehicles. As currently with a max ammo capacity of 42 rounds firing 3 rounds per burst means the tank has effectively only 14 'shots'. If it were 2 round bursts it would have 21 'shots'. It may be worth increasing the maximum ammo to 48 whether or not the burst mechanic is changed at all.
Scouting in this is like scouting in a Winnebago ... I have 490 VR and CVS on it, but am frequently out-spotted ... Works better for me as a close-range around-the-corner bushwhacker in the company of Heavies.
39:49 In blitz I think I managed to ammo rack in HE, my AP can't pen a E75 lower plate so I just derped HE with ISU152, ammo racked the whole tank somehow
tier 6 and 7 are also more of less ruined by the new chinese tank and you have to play those tiers quite a lot for xp to tier 8. especially if you get killed quickly all the time. one wrong peak and you are low on hp or dead. The caliban was bad enough, but at least that has some issues with aim etc. the new one doesn't seem to have those issues.
They should make some mechanic like cooldown, if there is 3 shell fire in the last 3s, they go cooldown for 3.5s, better than burst 3 shell forcefully. Example: a gauge of 3.5s, depleted by time, each shell fire make fill 1.75s the gauge, intra-clip 0.5s, if the gauge full "hot", it much wait for 3.5s for the gauge fully depleted to "cold".
I believe this tank is meant to be the enemy light tank assassin. It has 1200 burst damage which is roughly the amount of health most light tanks it will face will have and even if it low rolls, it is heavily than most light tanks and with the travel mode is just as fast or faster than them so it can ram to do large amounts of damage. It's a somewhat annoying tank to play versus things with armor, but boy can this thing ruin an enemy light tank's game in a few seconds.
Yup, Wargaming made it this way. What's the point of grinding regular (and most of the time underpowered) tech tree vehicles when you could just blueprint fragment / free exp your way up to tier 10. And also, you need tons of credits for playing tier 10 (if you still have the motivation to play that shitshow), therefore you need a lot of time spent in your premium vehicles to farm... Also, it's the holidays with all those nice credits bonuses, so again, people are farming... Weird what this game has turned into.
I just jumped on the other day without updating anything. On Steppes in my T-54 I went up the middle after sniping a little I got hit by one of these. Cleared the middle and broke for the tracks. Saw a THING in the rocks heading left behind the tracks. Went up the tracks and waited for him to come over. A funny looking thing jumped the tracks and I killed him in the air. I thought it was Swedish.
Does the bug mean that you can technically fire 2 rounds then interrupt, to keep reloading at the intra clip reload? since the game still shows 2 salvos even if u unloaded the first salvo halfway
If you fire two you'll have 4 in the tank, you could then fire them all individually or 1,3 3,1 or 2,2 the animation will always show three unless it's about to run out. Weird.
At 26:39 you lost control QB and its understandable why. The tracks on this tank have links that provide forward/reverse traction, but for the sake of speed between those links you have a smooth pad. Remember when you parked on a hard slope (game play when the tank was released) and you commented the tank was slowly sliding downhill? Those pads are smooth, so they have a negative effect of minimizing turning radius. Try doing a brake turn and see what happens.
I watched this video while playing the game, so I am not sure if you mentioned this, but having the gun get knocked out while you are firing your burst doesnt use the ammo either. I was in a training room with a friend and that happened
Would you consider this an autocannon? As small caliber ammunition's penetration became more practical more modern light tanks started using autocannons again. Is this what we have to look forward to?
I’m a less than average player with a 49% win rate in the last month. I started playing again recently after a long break (maps weren’t 3d and the bulldog was a t7 with 10 shell mag when I stopped playing). I don’t do particularly well in this tank as I don’t even know the maps properly, but man do I have a lot of fun. It reminds me of the old bulldog.
I've picked up 15 boxes during this event. Got the Char on the 2nd box of 3 on Saturday and the BZ today with a 12 box bundle. I think I'm done pushing my luck
I just got this in the 2024 St. Patrick's boxes. I think what WG should do, is fix this burst to operate like the double barrel tanks. If you tap the left mouse button you fire one shell or hold down the left button and empty the mag.
This tank reminds me (sort of) of the Bat Chat 25T back in like 2014 on WoT Console. Insane mobility and the ability to assassinate enemies then relocate before the enemy can counterattack. Had a match in this on Empire's Border I think (whatever map has the Great Wall of China on it) and being able to just go around enemies after some of them had been thinned out so that I could shoot them from behind was super helpful. I definitely agree though that the ammo is a huge handicap. Not having the best pen on standard rounds, having to waste ammo (if not using the bug), and having to forgo bringing HE to the fight is incredibly uncomfortable. I will say though that even as a pretty bad player I've been able to have some pretty decent games and I definitely think it will be a tank that better players can really enjoy.
So if you had enough ammo, you could theoretically fire "one" burst infinite times by repeating the same trick? Which completely negates the 40 odd second reload?
Still trying to figure out why tracked vehicles with travel modes get horrific penalties to be able to actually use their gun in travel modes while wheeled vehicles with travel modes get a minor penalty to turning.
I don't have time to watch the whole video right now. Is it 2 separate 3-round bursts (almost like the pom pom) or is it a 6-round salvo with a few seconds in between each 3 shots?
2 burst with 200x3 way more consistency than 2 shell 600 dmg, some time it hit 1 or 2 but still get some dmg, while 600dmg shell only have 2 outcomes: hit or miss.
Since when does vert stabs reduce bloom after firing... Only equip that does that is turret rotation and if you die you lose alot of exp towards ace tanker.
I think thats awesome to interrupt your mag part way. It doesnt make sense that you have to fire the entity of a mag and you should be able to have a skilled player eek out a bit more damage this way.
I opened this tank on the second crate, had an Ace by my second game. Then I had my butt handed to me for 4 games straight. Interesting tank, seems a bit situational for me, but overall it can also be quite fun in those late game situations.
For the first time in 11 years of WoT I was lucky enough to get this tank after opening 3 large boxes (I bought the minimum large boxes I could, 18 £), I was getting excited about this tank but after your review I think I got the opposite of luck .... Again.
It can be a fun tank, play it for yourself. QB's review, like every other reviews, is to be taken with a grain of salt since it (partly) reflects their experience with the tank. Personally this is my 3rd fav tank from the boxes after the AMBT and Iron Arnie.
I for one can't make any sense of the char 75 mle. If you use the turbo mode you're lowering your camo by 7% and your veiwrange by 20m gaining only speed and nothing else, where if I take out my RU251 that can go 70kmh all the time with no drawbacks and still have around 36% camo and 499m veiwrange.
I call that balance? Ru doesnt have 1200 burst in 5 seconds, is slower, bigger and far less armored. Its not like Char Mle has gotta be better jn every way
@@vojtechralis6075 the RU 251 has better all around stats, penetration wise the char 75mle. Has got the worst of the T9 and the gold ammo isn't that good either, and then you have the accuracy or lack of it that doesn't really help which means you can actually miss most of the shells in the burst.
@@strategicmind2652 I know. But sometimes there is no need for the view range and camo rating.. like early in the game when you're trying to get to an aggressive spot. My point is the tank doesn't have to be the best to be fun to play.
8 games in now - 100% win rate so far but I think that's a fluke, however it's 100% the most fun I've had in a new tank since the 703 II, despite getting the BZ today as well. I think its partly doing so well because people haven't learned how to play against it yet but it's definitely got a refreshingly unique playstyle. I'm the first to criticise WG but I think they got this one spot on.
got this with the arnie and i must say i do like playing it ( got very lucky with the boxes ) just need to not race ahead of everyone till i know were im going as only just got back into wot after years of not playing it ,,,lol
I am sure the mechanic will be removed. They will either make it so you can't change drive mode while firing or that the shots continue regardless. This tank is pretty rough though. A lot of players suffer in it and a few do shine! Thank you for the review QB!

Last time I saw a gun like this was the pom pom on the cruisers at tier 2 it was 2 shots per burst

the HE shells on this tank are the highest damage vs standard damage in the game. It has 200 base, 370 with HE.

WG just released a patch (this is Sat Dec 3rd), is it fixed (being able to interrupt the burst by switching travel mode)?
Would you consider this an autocannon? As small caliber ammunition's penetration became more practical more modern light tanks started using autocannons again. Is this what we have to look forward to?

I’m a less than average player with a 49% win rate in the last month. I started playing again recently after a long break (maps weren’t 3d and the bulldog was a t7 with 10 shell mag when I stopped playing).
I don’t do particularly well in this tank as I don’t even know the maps properly, but man do I have a lot of fun. It reminds me of the old bulldog.
I've picked up 15 boxes during this event. Got the Char on the 2nd box of 3 on Saturday and the BZ today with a 12 box bundle. I think I'm done pushing my luck
I just got this in the 2024 St. Patrick's boxes. I think what WG should do, is fix this burst to operate like the double barrel tanks. If you tap the left mouse button you fire one shell or hold down the left button and empty the mag.
This tank reminds me (sort of) of the Bat Chat 25T back in like 2014 on WoT Console. Insane mobility and the ability to assassinate enemies then relocate before the enemy can counterattack. Had a match in this on Empire's Border I think (whatever map has the Great Wall of China on it) and being able to just go around enemies after some of them had been thinned out so that I could shoot them from behind was super helpful. I definitely agree though that the ammo is a huge handicap. Not having the best pen on standard rounds, having to waste ammo (if not using the bug), and having to forgo bringing HE to the fight is incredibly uncomfortable. I will say though that even as a pretty bad player I've been able to have some pretty decent games and I definitely think it will be a tank that better players can really enjoy.

So if you had enough ammo, you could theoretically fire "one" burst infinite times by repeating the same trick? Which completely negates the 40 odd second reload?
Still trying to figure out why tracked vehicles with travel modes get horrific penalties to be able to actually use their gun in travel modes while wheeled vehicles with travel modes get a minor penalty to turning.
This tank is like the luchs at tier 9, very funny to play.
The Convert from last years loot boxes has similar firing characteristics.
I don't have time to watch the whole video right now. Is it 2 separate 3-round bursts (almost like the pom pom) or is it a 6-round salvo with a few seconds in between each 3 shots?

Here's an idea for equip on char
Vents bond/bounty turbo and rotation mechanism/grousers
2 burst with 200x3 way more consistency than 2 shell 600 dmg, some time it hit 1 or 2 but still get some dmg, while 600dmg shell only have 2 outcomes: hit or miss.
I think I misheard you, did you actual not recommend a turbo? Who are you and what have you done to QB?
Since when does vert stabs reduce bloom after firing... Only equip that does that is turret rotation and if you die you lose alot of exp towards ace tanker.

I think thats awesome to interrupt your mag part way. It doesnt make sense that you have to fire the entity of a mag and you should be able to have a skilled player eek out a bit more damage this way.
This tank should be nicknamed the " Drive by."
Maybe WG should have given this tank a selector switch. Either three round burst, or single round.
I got this on a mercy pull and haven’t even bothered to take it out. It looks like a miserable experience.
How do you change engine modes in tanks like the CZ-63, the Strv 103B, or this thing?
I opened this tank on the second crate, had an Ace by my second game. Then I had my butt handed to me for 4 games straight. Interesting tank, seems a bit situational for me, but overall it can also be quite fun in those late game situations.

For the first time in 11 years of WoT I was lucky enough to get this tank after opening 3 large boxes (I bought the minimum large boxes I could, 18 £), I was getting excited about this tank but after your review I think I got the opposite of luck .... Again.
It can be a fun tank, play it for yourself. QB's review, like every other reviews, is to be taken with a grain of salt since it (partly) reflects their experience with the tank.
Personally this is my 3rd fav tank from the boxes after the AMBT and Iron Arnie.
I did get ace tanker in 15 battle, 5.8k dmg and 1k spoting. I get 1365xp ... 😊
I for one can't make any sense of the char 75 mle. If you use the turbo mode you're lowering your camo by 7% and your veiwrange by 20m gaining only speed and nothing else, where if I take out my RU251 that can go 70kmh all the time with no drawbacks and still have around 36% camo and 499m veiwrange.

I call that balance? Ru doesnt have 1200 burst in 5 seconds, is slower, bigger and far less armored. Its not like Char Mle has gotta be better jn every way
@@vojtechralis6075 the RU 251 has better all around stats, penetration wise the char 75mle. Has got the worst of the T9 and the gold ammo isn't that good either, and then you have the accuracy or lack of it that doesn't really help which means you can actually miss most of the shells in the burst.
@@vojtechralis6075 and let's not forget the base camo of 16.24% which drops to 12.20% when in turbo mode makes it blind and easy to spot.
@@strategicmind2652 I know. But sometimes there is no need for the view range and camo rating.. like early in the game when you're trying to get to an aggressive spot. My point is the tank doesn't have to be the best to be fun to play.
8 games in now - 100% win rate so far but I think that's a fluke, however it's 100% the most fun I've had in a new tank since the 703 II, despite getting the BZ today as well.
I think its partly doing so well because people haven't learned how to play against it yet but it's definitely got a refreshingly unique playstyle.
I'm the first to criticise WG but I think they got this one spot on.

got this with the arnie and i must say i do like playing it ( got very lucky with the boxes ) just need to not race ahead of everyone till i know were im going as only just got back into wot after years of not playing it ,,,lol
I am sure the mechanic will be removed. They will either make it so you can't change drive mode while firing or that the shots continue regardless.
This tank is pretty rough though. A lot of players suffer in it and a few do shine!

the right ammunition loadout is one HE mag, one gold mag, all the rest standard AP
made my 3 marks with that loadout, no problem
i hope there will be a mid/high teir tank with an auto cannon like the german lt t4/5 :D
