I'm proud of my father bcoz when I had dengue in hospital, my dad was besides me, and at night I had my period in the hospital, and without even telling anything to him, he brought me a pack of pads from nearby medical store and gave it to me, with the most precious smile which I can never forget.... 😊💝 No words were needed to be spoken at that time... Love u papa 💝😊
Lucky. My mum gave me a kit with 3 day pads and 1 night pad incase i had it when i was at my dads. When i got it my dad still didnt give a crap and me and my mum were right. He wasnt prepared.

I don’t think there is a big deal in buying sanitary napkins though , because when me and pa go shopping he himself reminds me of buying pads 😂. Well when I was this young I was shy unnecessarily too and papa realised this , so he just came to me on one of my period days and made me comfortable by saying that I’m your father my child , so never ever hide or be shy of anything in front of me . But everyone’s father is not the same so nice way to convey a good message.
My father is very open about it... He is very supportive He always pamper me when i'm on my periods... I love my father more than anyone in this world I feel very lucky to have him... Bcoz normally fathers dont talk to their daughters about periods... He retired from army last year after 19 yrs of service ... He never stayed at home more than 3 months in a year but now he is trying to make us happy as he is here with us..... And i feel very comfortable when is around....

Sad reality is not every father is that supportive or understanding in regards to menstruation and its problems. Until the males of the family start talking freely/openly and normalise sanitary pads and menses nothing's gonna change!
It's not only males though. Females in many places consider it shameful. If they start speaking up and teaching their boys it's normal. It's would gradually happen

Even classmates need to be cooperative too , atleast for the schools with whole white attire during Summers (DPS literally needs to work on dis)......once I accidentally stained my skirt, then it was my seat partner who noticed and immediately informed me and helped me to arrange a sanitary pad.... My dad never bought me Toys cause I was never into toys especially dolls..... but yeah...I never bought pads myself ever....it's always my dad buying them along with grocery...or rarely my mom......I even discuss with my dad...my choice of pads...like the size or something....when he brings the wrong one....

I got mine when last November when I was 12. Now I'm 13 and I get irregular periods 😳😳. I never know when I will get it so it's a much bigger problem for me. To any girl who hasn't got it yet, here.. 1. Don't worry at all 2. It will pain the first few months 3. IT will go before you know 4. Always carry pads with you 5. Mostly it happens during the same week of the months. Ex: every month 3rd to 10th. Don't think about it while you have it for less pain. And lastly.. Drink lots of orange juice and rest during the first few months because later you will get used to it. 😊😊
Idk but smthng opposite happened to me....during first few months it didn't pain at all but after some tym probably a year it pains much that I can't even move my legs or walk properly....now I have to run on pain relievers evrytym 😭😭
I guess you all are teenagers. Hii... I m 20 and I got my periods when I was 13. It's been 7 years. I experienced a lot of thing like pain, mood swings, not wanna do any thing mood, even I faced irregularities. I wanna clear some of your quieres and some of your worries. First of all, you can see me as your elder sister and ask any quiery if you have. I will try to ans it asap and honestly so that you can interact with reality. If you're shy to type it here you can always ask me on my email and I will be happy to help you out. I don't have much knowledge but I will try to tell you each and every thing which I had experienced. 1) it's totally normal. Every body gets their periods. 2) you can get your periods at age between 9 to 15 3) in starting it can irregular. Like you get your periods in 2or 3 months. 4) at first year of mensuration, periods can be 15 days longer. (I got 15 days of periods at first time and I scared then an elder didi helped me out and now I got only 5 days) 5) yes some people experienced worst pain like breaking of 2 bones at a time. Some experienced less pain. And some no pain at all ( I experienced no pain. Infact mujhe toh pta bhi nahi chla kab mere periods aagye) 6) you can have pain either on abdominal (or you can say stomach) or backache. (For me it's backache) 7) the pain is more in first day. But 2nd and 3rd day it's less as compare to first one. 8) some people experience 3 days pain. But 4th and 5th day you'll not feel any pain. If you feel it would be less 9) it's not necessary to carry pad every time and every day. ( For eg:- if you had your periods on 1jan to 5 Jan then there is no need to carry pad on 6jan to 31 Jan) (or if you had periods on 24 Feb and finished on 28 Feb then again there is no need to carry pad till 15 or 17 March) (or if you get your periods between 15 to 20 then again there is no need to carry them on the 1st week of next month). 10) you can always carry 1 pad in case someone needs it or a stranger needs it. 11) always try not to take medicine during periods until and unless it's necessary 12) if you are experiencing a lot of pain then you can do something like:- A) eat chocolate. It's lighten your mood B) you can take rest or sleep. C) watch movies or talk to your friend to divert your mind D) if your pain is not giving you relax then you can use hot water bottle for your stomach. It helps genuinely a lot E) if you don't have got bottle bag then purchase it or if you can't purchase it then use a new 🧦 sock then put some rice in it. Heat it up carefully and put on your stomach F) drink tea. Some dr. Don't recommend caffeine but dude if you're in pain you can drink it atleast it's better than taking medicine 13) use "Flo" app. It's pink in color. I m not doing any promotion but dude it's good. I saw its ad on RUclips then I downloaded it in Oct 2020 and it tells me everything. It predict my upcoming periods. How longer my periods stay. Is it normal or abnormal. You can also put your symotms like mood swing, abdominal pain etc. There is also a space to write something more. There is no need to maintain a register or copy or even remember the days And in case if you get irregular period and dr. Will ask you about your periods days you can show them all your history. And plus if you've additional enquiry about which you can't ask anyone then there is an option of secret chat. you can read them and you get your answer already given by someone. 14) after one year of periods if you found your periods not on time or 2 3 months delay. Plz go to the dr. It's necessary, important and serious ( not to much serious) but you must have to visit. Otherwise you have to face the serious consequences. You could get pcod or pcos. I don't know what (as dr. Didn't tell me 🥺) but I got one of these. I hope it will help you. It is just a simple process that happens with every girl and woman. I don't understand why many people consider it as a taboo or something sick. Many sick-minded families think that the women of their houses should not touch anything in the kitchen or sit beside friends, family, etc because according to those families women are considered impure in their periods. I'm really sorry to hear that hun. I would suggest the same thing as the other commenter about talking to your dad about it if he's reasonable. Otherwise ibuprofen generally works well for the pain. Ginger tea is also good. Of course, you must know about the hot water bottle. Also applying tiger balm(if you can stand the smell) works wonders for me personally. Eat well, avoid coffee if you can during that time. Just call a friend to distract you if you can. Period cramps can be really crappy, especially if you're dealing with them on your own. Stay healthy and safe 🙂
You can talk to your besties or teachers maybe? If you don't feel like sharing it with your dad (but u should prefer telling him unless u have a strong reason behind not telling) you can maybe ask help from your senior school girls(the polite ones or the one u know) they will help u out for sure

To any girl who hasn't got it yet, here..
1. Don't worry at all
2. It will pain the first few months
3. IT will go before you know
4. Always carry pads with you
5. Mostly it happens during the same week of the months. Ex: every month 3rd to 10th.
Don't think about it while you have it for less pain.
And lastly.. Drink lots of orange juice and rest during the first few months because later you will get used to it. 😊😊

Hii... I m 20 and I got my periods when I was 13. It's been 7 years. I experienced a lot of thing like pain, mood swings, not wanna do any thing mood, even I faced irregularities.
I wanna clear some of your quieres and some of your worries.
First of all, you can see me as your elder sister and ask any quiery if you have. I will try to ans it asap and honestly so that you can interact with reality. If you're shy to type it here you can always ask me on my email and I will be happy to help you out. I don't have much knowledge but I will try to tell you each and every thing which I had experienced.
1) it's totally normal. Every body gets their periods.
2) you can get your periods at age between 9 to 15
3) in starting it can irregular. Like you get your periods in 2or 3 months.
4) at first year of mensuration, periods can be 15 days longer. (I got 15 days of periods at first time and I scared then an elder didi helped me out and now I got only 5 days)
5) yes some people experienced worst pain like breaking of 2 bones at a time. Some experienced less pain. And some no pain at all ( I experienced no pain. Infact mujhe toh pta bhi nahi chla kab mere periods aagye)
6) you can have pain either on abdominal (or you can say stomach) or backache. (For me it's backache)
7) the pain is more in first day. But 2nd and 3rd day it's less as compare to first one.
8) some people experience 3 days pain. But 4th and 5th day you'll not feel any pain. If you feel it would be less
9) it's not necessary to carry pad every time and every day. ( For eg:- if you had your periods on 1jan to 5 Jan then there is no need to carry pad on 6jan to 31 Jan) (or if you had periods on 24 Feb and finished on 28 Feb then again there is no need to carry pad till 15 or 17 March) (or if you get your periods between 15 to 20 then again there is no need to carry them on the 1st week of next month).
10) you can always carry 1 pad in case someone needs it or a stranger needs it.
11) always try not to take medicine during periods until and unless it's necessary
12) if you are experiencing a lot of pain then you can do something like:-
A) eat chocolate. It's lighten your mood
B) you can take rest or sleep.
C) watch movies or talk to your friend to divert your mind
D) if your pain is not giving you relax then you can use hot water bottle for your stomach. It helps genuinely a lot
E) if you don't have got bottle bag then purchase it or if you can't purchase it then use a new 🧦 sock then put some rice in it. Heat it up carefully and put on your stomach
F) drink tea. Some dr. Don't recommend caffeine but dude if you're in pain you can drink it atleast it's better than taking medicine
13) use "Flo" app. It's pink in color. I m not doing any promotion but dude it's good. I saw its ad on RUclips then I downloaded it in Oct 2020 and it tells me everything. It predict my upcoming periods. How longer my periods stay. Is it normal or abnormal. You can also put your symotms like mood swing, abdominal pain etc. There is also a space to write something more. There is no need to maintain a register or copy or even remember the days
And in case if you get irregular period and dr. Will ask you about your periods days you can show them all your history. And plus if you've additional enquiry about which you can't ask anyone then there is an option of secret chat. you can read them and you get your answer already given by someone.
14) after one year of periods if you found your periods not on time or 2 3 months delay. Plz go to the dr. It's necessary, important and serious ( not to much serious) but you must have to visit. Otherwise you have to face the serious consequences. You could get pcod or pcos. I don't know what (as dr. Didn't tell me 🥺) but I got one of these.

It is just a simple process that happens with every girl and woman. I don't understand why many people consider it as a taboo or something sick. Many sick-minded families think that the women of their houses should not touch anything in the kitchen or sit beside friends, family, etc because according to those families women are considered impure in their periods.

I'm really sorry to hear that hun. I would suggest the same thing as the other commenter about talking to your dad about it if he's reasonable. Otherwise ibuprofen generally works well for the pain. Ginger tea is also good. Of course, you must know about the hot water bottle. Also applying tiger balm(if you can stand the smell) works wonders for me personally. Eat well, avoid coffee if you can during that time. Just call a friend to distract you if you can. Period cramps can be really crappy, especially if you're dealing with them on your own. Stay healthy and safe 🙂

You can talk to your besties or teachers maybe? If you don't feel like sharing it with your dad (but u should prefer telling him unless u have a strong reason behind not telling) you can maybe ask help from your senior school girls(the polite ones or the one u know) they will help u out for sure
