Hello Claire. Fascinating to hear from a league without the idea of who is likely to be winning being obvious from the start and who is newly promoted from a lower division being seen as potential for relegation.
I was surprised at Midge Purce not being in the US squad, but she was injured. She seems very clever as well as skillful.
I had commented elsewhere about US players getting experience abroad, so it was no surprise to see such players getting a chance.

lovell no longer can play more then two games without getting hurt. who would purce replace? she an be great but can be also very inconsistant. lynn williams has same problem who does she replace. i think your looking at us front line for furture.
Rose and Mallory have been plagued with injuries since their first and second years at Washington. If you have Rose Lavelle on your team, you are not going to have her available for every game (sadly), but she does things no other woman can. That second yellow card in the 2023 WWC was huge.
More uswnt should play abroad, the diversity and challenges are different and the quality is higher.
Sounds like have a European soccer bias- that’s true for the men not the women
