Lots and lots of pronouns! Polish has no shortage of pronouns, one for every occasion and more! Question: what is the significance of “kto/co”, “kogo/czego, itd? Is this a question to be answered? I suspect that for English native speakers (where English does not use cases) this cannot be explained and understood. I have asked a few native Polish speakers this question and they always pause for a few seconds and say that it is impossible to answer so that a native English speaker can understand.
Interrogative pronouns change because pronouns must be declined (like nouns, adjectives and numerals) and all of the variants that I mentioned mean the same thing - "who and what", just in different cases. In English you have a little leftover of this in the pronoun whom. So it's important to know them if you want to ask a question with what or who. Polish native speakers use them to identify the grammatical case when someone would ask them about it, because a normal person doesn't remember which one is Biernik or Narzędnik 😂. I used them in the video mostly for students who are speakers of Slavic languages as they have the same thing and they understand which case it is right away. I hope I answered your question. I think what you are saying is that native Slavic speakers have internalized the grammatical cases while native English speakers have not. This is probably the reason why it is so rare to encounter a native English speaker who speaks a Slavic language fluently. Actually, I have never met one (who obtained fluency as an adult). I am sure they exist but they are very rare.
