I just subscribed. Particularly, as a black American woman, I celebrate you! Often times were taught in this country that if we take a quiet moment, we have committed a deep criminal offense! I disagree. And clearly, so do you. New sub here
I am convinced I smelled those garlic scones when they popped up on the screen 😂😂 my tummy literally growled! I am a first timer here and loving your channel.
I joined the knitting community at age 14 years with my cousin to curb boredom, I found the "purl" pattern the easiest to learn. Since then I've knitted 4 sweaters, and I still wear the very first sweater I made at age 14 years. Now I'm trying to crochet, and working with the magic circle which is kicking my ass.
I was shown your channel by the algorithm and have been binge watching your videos which has calmed my nervous system down immensely! I was sitting in a dark room for hours but by video 3, I was ready to open the curtains! (It’s 4pm in Mexico 🫠)
All i can say heaven..just imangin nobodys around no cars no tall buildigs just feilds and woodlands...your so lucky x❤ your so right slow living must be great x your voice is amazing so calm ❤
Your voice is beautiful,, so calm, it's therapy for me when I'm stressed Though you take to post but when you post it makes a difference, you're all amazing You and your boyfriend, stay blessed always both of you
I have not knitted in a long time. I initially learned from my late grandmother. I have been trying to teach myself different things. Right now I am learning how to macrame
Just discovered your channel and it's exactly what I felt like watching today. I have been looking for some wholesome content- thank you! Love from South Africa :)
I’m fortunate that I am a life long knitter and crocheter, my mother taught me both when I was very small. Her mother and grandmother taught her, so I always feel connected to my maternal ancestors when I knit or crochet. Even though I a 30+year experience I love beginner projects to slow down and de stress to. I am currently crocheting different flags, right now I’m making the pride flag as a wall hanging. Flags are great because just get the right colors, make the stripes and stitch them together, whatever size you like. Happy spring and happy knitting!
I'm very happy that I found you...🌷🌷🌷 I adore humans giving life to everything around them, and making everything better! Living slowly and hopefully intentionally.❤ Fateme Life, Canada
You two people are the most amazing couple I have seen , keep leading the way of most simplistic life style and may we all learn stop chasing the dream of vanity and meaningless accumulation of useless mundane things ❤ well done slowing down yes that is the thing to pursue true happiness in small things . Praise God
Welcome to the knitting community! Ravelry has a database of knitting patterns that you can narrow down based on many things including experience level. My first knitting project was a knit stitch scarf on bulky yarn. I'm looking forward to purchasing one of your beautiful mugs.
I'm a knitter too! Welcome! In addition to Ravelry, Wool and the Gang is another site that has some free beginner- friendly knitting patterns. The hat looks pretty. You did a very good job.
Heya, love your content ❤ but I gasped when I saw the mint the in ground 😬 this is from my heart, word to the wise you might want to repot it into its own isolated pot. Mint is famous for taking over a garden totally and generally it’s recommended that stay separate ❤️❤️❤️
Hi, I’m a knitter and I love slow living. I was born in the UK and now I live in NYS in the mountains. I really connected with your story and I’m happy that you’re happy. Your life looks beautiful ❤
Your channel popped up on my feed and l'm so happy. Your voice and vlog syle are amazing. The sconces look delish! Your pottery is beautiful. I love your cottage.
I am beyond happy I found your little page!! you have a talent for making this type of lifestyle feel within reach and close to the heart and ahhhh I love it!
this was exactly what i needed to calm my nerves just now, thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤ also yay knitting! i got back to it last year, after decades of trying again and always dropping it again, and faster than before. my godmother was always (!) knitting on something and obviously very good at it so i learned the basics from her as a kid (sadly she lived quite far away, in another country even, so all we had were some vacations toghether) which is really nice, just having that deep muscle memory and knowing how to begin. but life wasn't too kind to me otherwise so my anxiety/perfectionism slowly killed all the fun in arts & crafts for me until i didn't even try anymore. permitting myself to just casually be watching other knitters and crafters without falling back into self-blame finally got me to the point of taking creative risks again and it really changed my whole outlook on life a lot! with my last project (just a simple scarf) i made an intentional point of unravelling it again and again, even finishing it a few times while already knowing that i was probably going to unravel it again - to prove to myself that it's totally okay to try and 'fail'. none of my work was wasted, because i got better and better at the pattern (two-colour brioche, highly recommend) and at estimating what length/width i can get from the type and amount of yarn i had. i am incredibly happy with the result and i wear it all the time 🤗 as an actual pattern i can highly recommend the 'garter stitch mitts' by isolda. not the perfect season to make mitts i know, but it's a freebie and i learned a lot from it. plus i love the quirky but minimalist look of it 😁 again, thanks so much for sharing 💖🔥💕
I’m sure someone already mentioned, but mint is highly invasive. If you don’t want it to take over the whole garden it’s best grown in a contained space.
Ooh, knitter here! One of the first patterns I made (and gifted to loads of other people) was Jane Richmond’s Autumn hat. It’s super bulky seed stitch goodness. We still wear ours all the time. I found your channel just today while looking up info on wild clay. So inspiring, can’t wait to watch all your videos.
My daughter when she was 9 taught me how to knit. I couldn't get it at all. Fast forward a year and now I'm a stressed out graduate student; I pick up the needles and start knitting. Knitting literally got me through my second year of lectures. I love spinning my own yarn too! RUclips is a great place to find tutorials. Ravelry is a great place for patterns and ideas for what to do with your yarn. The experience of knitting gets better and better with the type of yarn used. Like, I love me some squishy merino. I am currently knitting with some Wool and the Gang which is nice. Oh and socks, making socks is so satisfying!
Hello from New York 👋🏽😁! Your RUclips channel dropped on my algorithm today! Love the vibe, peacefulness and tranquility! I’m 61 & retired from my job of 22 years at a hospital last year. Learning to slow down and enjoy nature and get reacquainted with myself! Living my best life! 🙌🏾 I love your video and your beautiful home & rural life! God bless you & your versatile talents! 😊🙏🏾❤️
Ahh your voice is so soothing, once I clicked I was so happy to hear it - then I saw you live in the lakes, my paradise. I long to live there, so I’m already a new follower from the first moment I meet you ❤️
This is lovely. 😊 I taught myself to knit in college (with help from my mother, who herself was more into macramé). I started with scarves then worked my way to mittens, hats, legwarmers, and (much, much later) socks and gloves. In the beginning, I really loved books geared towards kids and teens to learn how to follow patterns and for inspiration.
I'm late to the party just discovering your channel, and wow. You are so inspiring and I'm re-examining how I can infuse more connections with nature and slowness within my own life. Also, your coffee ritual is everything. New sub 🫶
I just found your channel and I love it! I'm watching from Nova Scotia. I can knit but I crochet better. LOL I can't just sit and do nothing. So if I'm watching a movie, I'm crocheting. I make blankets and give them away. Otherwise I'm a writer under a pen name. Love your pottery!❤
Hi!! thank you so much for your videos! I love relaxing to them! I'm a knitter and I love that you're getting into it and making a beanie!! knitting and crocheting are my life and I wish more people were into it and understood it! but wow way to go!! I've been in the fiber arts for 10+ years and it's changed my life!
I'm so glad I've found your content as a potter who longs to sell her own work! It would be amazing if you shared a video where you discuss the finances behind your business and how you're able to sustain with seasonal batches. Thank you so much for sharing with us :)
Ooow I love the wool and hat 😍 Well done on the Circular Needles, I haven’t been able to master that 😕 What a lovely story you tell and you have been very busy with making your beautiful mugs, I’m a potter too, so I can appreciate the effort you have put into those 💕
New subscriber here ❤ beautiful video, so peaceful and right up my street with slow living. I’m so happy spring is here it is my birthday this week 😊 although sadly my dad just passed away recently so I’ve been grounding myself literally by gardening ☺️☺️ I love your pottery
Your work is lovely. Those mugs are gorgeous. I love everything about this video. Your hair, your lifestyle, your art and craft. Just lovely. I'm really happy for you. To your success, Sis! ♥
Knitting for me was a gateway “drug” to crocheting. (Crocheting is a little bit easier if you would like to try, granny squares and single crochets -> instant gratification). This is my first video watching of yours and I would love to be your best friend lol if you have any tips: i would like to get some equipment to “do clay” lol idk the verb but I love you already. Keep creating!!
Such a lovely video! Your ceramic mugs are beautiful, and I thought it was so very cool that you occasionally find clay in the woods to use as decoration. Genius! x
Immediate follow! Your content, voice, charm are so lovely! I agree with many of the comments on here- you would be a lovely narrator on the calm app or audible!❤
What a wonderful world! 👌 Your choice of lifestyle is great. I bet, your former Zimbo associates are fascinated & envious 😊. Keep it up & happy living.
I love knitting . I enjoy Musselburgh hats. Tons of stockinette and a really lovely hat when you’re finished. Also socks. Who doesn’t enjoy having hand knit socks!
So glad I found your channel! Love your content. Very relaxing and inspirational! Currently learning pottery via playing around with air dry clay but VERY interested in trying the wheel so love seeing your work with pottery and the fact you use clay from around your home! So cool!
I just subscribed. Particularly, as a black American woman, I celebrate you! Often times were taught in this country that if we take a quiet moment, we have committed a deep criminal offense! I disagree. And clearly, so do you. New sub here

Their videos soothe me too.
i second this! 😆
She could be a voice on the Headspace app that leads meditation!
The cinematography, editing, philosophy, narration and craft is divine ✨
What a beautiful and calming video. I’m seeking channels that remind me that life is meant to be enjoyable and peaceful. Thank you for sharing ❤
Ive been slow living all my life without having a name for it. Ive just always felt everyone around me was always in a rush
Nothing like coming out of winter hibernation. Goodbye pjs and Netflix, hello summer dresses, flowers, and fresh fruits and vegetables.
And delightful sunsets . too ❤
