He's the majority owner of a privately run company and he's running it as such.
The "membership" as they call it, even though the councillors are actually employees of the company, have absolutely no say in how the company is run and would have been aware of this when they were first employed by Farage. It's the same for their MPs, they have no power in this company.
This is all by design, it didn't happen by accident. Their MPs, their councillors, and their subscribers do not have any say in the business of the company.
Polybius wrote about this around 2000 years ago, this has happened on every known occasion that a company has been set up in this manner to masquerade as a political party. We have 2000 years of evidence of this happening on every occasion.
This should be a surprise to nobody.

It still doesn't change the fact that the majority of this country are fed up with left wing politics that look after outsiders before their own paying people. Labour and tories have seen the country collapse over the last few decades as a team. People are waking up to the nonsense and they are both done as political parties.

Last accounts show a Director's Loan account balance of £1 million although the notes state no directors draw salary, and donations (2023) were £1.3 million. He's got that nose to know when he can be open about his horrible views, and when he needs to put on an act about being a concerned citizen and calling for civility.

I'm amazed at the cognitive dissonance of Farage and his personal image of what he thinks his own party subscribers actually are.
He has publicly rejected TR and has disavowed any support for TR - despite most of his suscriberes EXPLICITLY supporting TR and his vicious ideology.
Farage is trying to make Reform more palatable for the country, and has been portraying Reform as a not-so-extreme-as-you-think party and i truly think he believes this.
But the facts are that most in Reform think support TR and that support for TR is toxic gas for most in the country.
Whatll happen is that Reform will break into two stumps - one even more extreme and doomed for that, and the other a sort of pale immitation of the Tory party.

Yeah, Farage seems to be the one person in Reform who understands that they have to ebb-and-flow with how open they are about their beliefs. He has this great act that he puts on when the extremism isn't viable, that of a "concerned citizen" who just has "very reasonable" questions they want answered. I say its great because when does it, suddenly all the media talks about him like he's just some mid-bench Tory, rather than the toxic influence he has been.
