I'm not a very sentimental person but I love these videos because: 1- the surprise is real, not staged. It can be a little awkward but Nate is GREAT at dealing with awkwardness. 2- The Secret Santa is truly anonymous. His generosity and humility are equal and using his wealth as he does should inspire us all. 3- The gifts are personal to the recipients and generous enough to be actually life-changing, not merely tokens or sentimental. 4- Nate Eaton is a treasure. He negotiates each interaction with sensitivity, kindness and respect. When he conveys the Secret Santa message of love and caring, my heart swells every time. 5- the people who receive SS surprises are SO lovely and grateful. So many of them think immediately of others whose need is greater than theirs and Nate always reminds them that the gift is for them. 6- It seems that SS and Nate and EIN and the people of Eastern Idaho never got the memo that says we're supposed to hate and fear immigrants. Whenever the recipient is an immigrant I am so so grateful to see that immigrant families are welcomed and supported in Eastern Idaho. 7- Merry Christmas!!

I Loved all the stories but especially the one for the mother who lost her son. It relates to me. I lost my eldest son 6 years ago and it was so hard. I have 2 other sons. It was difficult trying to come up with the $ for a headstone for him and my mother and I together got a faceplate which is all we could afford. Anyways. Hey. I'm just catching up on these. I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. So I'm not used to getting or seeing other people receive presents. And even though I left the religion, since my family don't celebrate and I'm single I still won't get any presents this year either. So it's super nice for me to get to see this. I've watched every year for 5 years. I live in the UK. Thank you to Secret Santa and everyone involved in making this all work. It's incredible, and I'm sure it's great to be able to report on such good news (for a while, at least). Especially when the world is like it is just now.

I'd like to share a secret gift someone left on my porch. It was a wonderful gift of things you use everyday in the kitchen. Small items but the basket was filled to the brim. I wasn't in need of the items but sure enjoyed all of them. All I ever knew was the footprints in the snow that was left. That was about 15 years ago and I'll never forget it.
