I miss lake hopatcong. :( it was one of the few places in my life to ever actually feel like home. So many good people back there and so many good memories. Waking up to a snowy cold morning racing to make it to the gym before they shut it down from the blizzard. Spending time with the family working around the house together. Learning and growing with family was a high point at that time in my life for me. And who could forget the late nights at Chabons bar with the liquor store attached. Whisky and hot wings. There was always a hockey game on. Go rangers. Man I miss those times. My mom was from there and I am from South Carolina... so it was fun to see where my family came from. Recommend you def go see this place. The people like Good old Bob beere and the Sherman’s are great people.
very nice! I lived in shore hills growing up. Gutweins store on Mount Arlington Blvd and Rogers drive. the pizza place in Landing. Sorry, I can't remember the name. I learned how to water ski on lake Hopatcong in the early 1970's - My family had a boat docked at Shore Hills Country Club Beach. I really miss the people from Morris county! just not the winters!!
