I do enjoy cruising around in your Merc, with no engine or road noise, not even a peep. I expect a comment at intersections about the kid on the bike, or the idiot in the car in front, but have accepted your choice and enjoy the peace. A huge amount of new housing happening. I remember my wife needed new shoes, and one of her colleagues suggested a shop in Bicester. I drove while she gave directions. I think it was one in a group of large stores on the outskirts, strangely that's about all I remember. We didn't even venture into town to check it out as far as I recall. Under navigators instructions. And thats one slight regret with Uk driving, and NZ future driving. Our new highways in NZ are bypassing the towns and cities instead of going through the centre of every one, which saves a lot of time and fuel getting from A to B. But as I found, driving on the M40 from Oxford to London for instance, you get a glimpse of bypassed towns, none of which I visited. Should've taken the "B" roads. Thanks for the adventure, take care.
I appreciate the comment. Bicester is growing very quickly and there does not seem to be signs of stopping!
