    I decided on a night in so thought I'd look at some of the BIG RUSSIANs having a go at "the Flower Festival" and its only fair to say "they don't come close to this pair", so why is it so hard to get RDB DVDs in Britain,I'm sure they would sell like hot cakes.

    This doesn't have the flashiness of Russian classic style; but it is really pure, really fulfilling. I love
    this style. I suspect a long evening of this might languish a bit, until you got to the finale fireworks;
    but it really is a beautiful style. The dancers must have legs of steel!!

    @hurlomhai ,all I can say is that you are a very lucky person.I only have two DVDs of the Royal Danish Ballet,but would love to have more,the problem is that I would have to come to Denmark to obtain them.why they cannot be bought over here in Wales I do not understand,especially as I have no trouble in obtaining ballet's from the United States.Oh,and by the way I much prefer Bournonville danced by the Danes,the Russians struggle.

      Then I am even more lucky My boy friend and I were in 2005 and we were able to see this performance in present of Her Royal Majesty Queen of Denmark Margrethe. It was .... something . The best memories about ballet performance. It was amazing,even I was born in St Petersburg of Russia and I was able to see a lot of performance of Imperial ballet/ Marriinskiy ballet.
