You two are WAY too hard on yourselves! I've watched from the beginning and your first videos are not "cringe" like you think they are. You have certainly improved along the way but there was not much improvement necessary in my opinion. In fact, please stop improving at such a crazy rate so others who are thinking of starting their channel won't feel so far left behind! Love this episode. Keep up the great work, ladies. (But not too much.) Lol! 😄🙂💖❤

I found Connie through you. I’m like Connie, when I worked I got up early and was at work between 6 and 6:30. I’m so glad to get to know her through your podcasts
The channels I watch has changed drastically since I started. I used to watch the dollar tree shows but have gotten bored and needed more. I am so glad I found you and all the other great creators.
Looking forward to the October event.
Are you going to interview your mom? Is your mom going to be at your October event?

OMG! I have just started my journey of having a booth, and recently I’ve been dreaming of a future path of being a stockist in northeast Wisconsin for some of my favorite products. I am hesitant to really put my idea out there because I am so new in this journey. But maybe that will change by the end of this year!

Never too old to go to back to school. I went to art school between having my kids. I worked while my husband was at University and then when he graduated I had two kids, by then he had finished all designation, so it was my turn to go to school, I was 28 after I graduated and then I had two more kids. Having children was always first on my to-do list. I stayed home with all 4 and now that my little birds are all out of the nest, and 40 years (this Sunday) of marriage later, it's my turn for a "career". (Mom and now grandma is my career, I just want to get back into creating and making money at it would be a bonus) When I was at school there were people fresh out of high school which at the time, made me feel old, but there also were people much older than me, so you are never too old. I would tell Connie if she wants to conquer art school, to go for it. I had always thought I needed a 4 year degree in Fine Arts to make a career of it. My school in Alberta only offered a two year diploma program, and many students moved away to go to a prestigious art school on the east coast of Canada to finish a 4 year degree. Now my feelings have changed and I think I've learned so much over the years that I can make a living in art. Just not the traditional way of needing a gallery to sell my art. One of the students that had gone out east and got his degree, ended up coming back home, and is the instructor at the school I went to. Being an art teacher at college level or any other level, was never on my wish list so now I don't feel like I missed out on anything.

I’ve been enjoying all your podcasts but today hit me! I’m terrified of shipping! I have one shop where my items are intermingled and I’m only allowed to drop off new items every two weeks. I have a bookshelf at another location and make rent but not much more. I know I need to ship but….YIKES!!! Any tips besides just do it?

You oh just have to go for it. Make sure to always have insurance and tracking when shipping items for your clients!
