Just to be clear, I showed the Crrsair caps in the vid as an example of brands, but they don't fit the Apex.
The :O factor is missing in corsair
So can you list some Double shot pbt keycaps that aren't puddings please.
Question - I know I am late. You say the Corsair keycaps don't fit the Apex - what about them doesn't fit? I was about to order some pink Corsair caps for my Apex TKL, but figured I would watch this video again and saw this comment. Will specific keys not fit or just not fit in general?
@@OntarioGuy430 If you just look at when he compares them at 4:20, you can see that the Corsair keycaps are much thicker, which makes them bigger.

I'm fixing up my old K70 Silver, so it's pretty sweet that they add some extra keys so I can fit them on this old keyboard. Those letters on it look really nice. Big, but nice, not some weird font on there. I like these a lot.
Lol that's very unusual to see a company advertising keyboards from competing brands on the side of the box. Anyway, glad we finally have some officially compatible keycaps for the Apex Pro; I had tried Corsair's new PBT keycaps but they kept getting stuck on those LEDs, so I'll have to try these. I do wish they came in a plastic tray instead of a vacuum sealed bag so the replaced keycaps could be neatly repackaged, but that's a minor gripe.
Ordered them so fast, steelseries are finally givings us pudding PBT-keycaps with nordic layouts. THANKS
The font on the PrismCaps looks SO much better than any other pudding keycap I've seen. The HKGaming and even HyperX have this janky looking broken up font. Steelseries' caps look vibrant and clean because of it.
With the price of the apex pro, you'd think those prismcaps would be standard.
I really hope SteelSeries is going to make non-pudding PBT keycaps. Personally I'm not a fan of an overdose of RGB, so normal PBT keycaps with shinethrough would be awesome.
I hope this as well. I own an Apex Pro myself and noticed that some of these prismcaps miss certain descriptors, such as the M1-M6 or sub-functionalities (brightness up - lower, etc) on the F9-F12 caps.
Same here, I think it's too much of the side spill lighting. I had hyperx alloy core, and it was so bright and didn't make much sense, as one wants to see the symbols and not extra spill
Techne always has the nices things i love coming to his videos to see what i cant have but he truely deserves it ♥️🙌🏽

Honestly, I think that these are better than the HyperX ones - they just seem more quality and the font is way better.

Couldn't really tell how the light diffused through the sides. Another review showed the Hyper X diffused the RGB much more smoothly against the Razer pudding caps...

Have you tested the black keys too? Does the lighting look as good as the white ones? A black keyboard with white keys looks very ugly but the lighting is beautiful

Just bought my first ever Mechanical (optical) keyboard, an apex 9 tkl, and i bought a lot of different keycaps to customize it. I bought the black Gskill pudding keycaps as I wanted totaly clear pudding keycaps (and at this point I don't worry if they are abs). But talking with someone that have steelseries pudding keycaps, and to mix some of that keycaps with the ones I already have, I'm thinking about buy some black pudding keycaps of Steelseries...watching this video and see that it comes with a Steelseries logo keycap convince me.
imo they're good and the font is iconic, but $30 is really stretching it for all the other options we have

Pretty sweet they fit the k63, I just picked up a K63 SE/ Iron Claw/ and lap board for $100 lightly used (really clean) for my couch set up. Did I say I like large mice 😅

@Ella Smith I think a 60% is a really small form factor, and at this moment it doesn’t get more attention then the other 2 form factors in my opinion, besides that, it’s better the other 2 :)
And please make all os the switches omni point, not some random red switches too

Wish steelseries made normal white keycaps
I've never liked the pudding style key caps. I went with Corsair's PBT Doubleshot Onyx Black key caps for my Apex Pro TKL (2023). They look great with all white LEDs.
I have the Ducky pudding caps on my Apex pro and I had to Dremel out the inside of a few keys so they fit the over the LEDs. Looks like these come from the same factory, the Duckys have the same little dimples. I prefer the Ducky font, but these are nice too. Better than having to use the Dremel.

Bit of a steep price IMO... Over here (canada) the HyperX ones often go on sale for $29.99 while these are $39.99. 33% more expensive for a similar product is a bit hard for me to swallow...

Keycap thickness does matter, acoustics change depending on thickness.

I have been wanting some pudding keycaps for my hyperx alloy origins core and I just wanted to know if you would recommend I get either the hyperx pudding caps or steelseries prismcaps.

these got greasy in a month or two and the stock ABS ones lasted longer. the top qwerty row is weirdly bad for it. I regularly use isopropyl alcohol based wipes on my keyboard and no good

how do they compare to the original ones by feel? i find the original keycaps for apex boards very slide-y when they wear out a bit after months, which isn't too great.
