He wasn’t tired, he was taking advantage of the ruleset. There’s a rule where you can’t kick downed opponents. Him taking a knee means he’s “down” so he kept trying to lure him for a kick to get him DQ’ed. Which I believe did work in his favor in the end.
@@mrpandasian8871 the one where the two dudes headbutted each other by accident and fell at the same time was hilarious. took the fight out of em both lol
Some of those fighters just know they didn't need to do any more ,just walked away and left the ref to sort it out but I have seen some just go in and pummeled the other competitors when clearly it is not nessasry. Some times I think the ref needs to be quicker to stop the fight . Combat sports is starting to come under a lot of criticism at this time in some countries so no need to give them more ammunition to try and get it banned
It's also important to understand a fighter isn't necessarily knocked out just because they're wobbled or knocked down. It's about whether or not they're proactively and effectively defending themselves.
I mean, if we’re being honest, that’s not quite as damaging in the long term as the standing count in boxing. You can get concussed to that same level multiple times in a fight, and so long as you can recover just enough to fool the ref, you can then continue, which is why boxing has more deaths associated with it than mma
