Julian, I love your philosophy to repurpose everyday material in modeling a railroad. It is the true source of creativity and originality. It is inspirational and I am sure it will further enhance your layout into a great looking depiction of your imagination. As I’m sure the creative use of material will enhance your level of detail. And as I follow you now for a little while, I can absolutely say it has. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to your next update!
You have the makings of a lovely layout there, that shot across the whole scene really gives a sense of depth and detail. Couldn’t agree with you more that there are so many facets to this hobby and it’s very hard to remain concentrated on one aspect for any period of time. Look forward to checking out more of your videos. Paul
I mentioned adding the baseboard plan to the descriptions but decided not to add the link as I might as well draw up the entire track plan on the layout and provide a link for that. Thanks.
Hi Julian, welcome to the RUclips Model Railway world! Very interesting intro and I'm looking forward to seeing how Station Road comes along! Just off to watch parts 2 & 3 of the tour! I have subscribed and look forward to new videos! All the best, Rich
water, you can use tolit or tissue paper and white glue and layers, also water falls white glue strips on a glass panel a little white paint after drys peal and use
A great railway, I have always found that a model railway is never finished, I am always making changes but I am totally analog so electrical issues are great challenges
One thing to consider on expanding the DCC side of things is JMRI. This gives you the ability to use a laptop or workstation using Windows, MacOS or Linux (it is not specific to any OS) with your existing DCC controller (Elite is supported). I have linked my Linux laptop to my Z21 and it works really well. JMRI is open source and free (but it is good to support with a donation). HTH - Pete
Just found you’re channel, going through the video’s and subbed. Lots of great work happening, nice one. Check out a bit of British heritage on my N gauge channel if you can, cheers, Chris
Thanks for the shout-out and good luck with your adventure. Regards Charlie.

Hi Vincent and many thanks for your kind feedback, it is greatly received.
Hello from the UK
Great video, model railways are never completed that’s why they remain interesting, keep up the good work down there 👍

Great to see your vids. Not sure if you are aware, Budget Model Railways offers good tips for modelling, building etc.
I wasn't aware of BMR, I'll definitely go and check them out, thanks.
@@StationRoadModelRailway they are DC, but a great father and son combo to help newbies to the hobby, with some entrepreneurial skills too.
Hi, my interst lies more in the 20's and 30's and more in Germany (I'm german...) but I find your videos quite good...
