I'm right with you on what you're say, but Joey Vatto is shifting his weight. It's just not as exaggerated as the others. His is a very short but yet powerful process. When he puts his front foot down, his firm front side powerfully stops any weight translation forward and at that moment the hips and core fire continuing the chain reaction you so nicely have pointed out across many hitters. To illustrate the weight shift look at his back foot. It doesn't completely leave the ground, but his foot releases backside weight causing his back foot to come up and drag the toes. Then once land/swing is finished his weight settles back on to his back foot. This is consistant to almost all well timed swings - whether there's a big stride on not. Cheers, Rob
