I've been searching for this video for 30 minutes... It is STILL the only video that shows you how to save individual files/folders on File History. One thing I have to mention: Microsoft now HIDES the "Microsoft" folder mentioned at 6:07, so you have to make sure "hide protected operating system files" in your options is turned off.
Excellent video. I'm a bit perplexed that in the year 2022 Microsoft is requiring me to edit a xml file to add a location to be backed up. This is either a poor understanding of the typical end user, a complete oversight, or a blatant attempt to move us all to OneDrive.
The version of Backup Win7 has NEVER been further developed and so staying still is under Win10 and so it is for Win11, its old software that is standind still. Urgent advice, DO NOT USE IT, use an external Backup tool with of course a rescue stick, with usually fifteen minutes later your IMAGE is back on the C-drive, this from the external HD or even from a Network drive (a bit slower then). To do this, use the 3-2-1 backup strategy and test it as well. I myself have been using AOMEI backupper for more than 4 years and it has helped me out many times, is completely Freeware.
A huge thank you, @KnowledgeShari6 for all of your help with how to do something seemingly easy but isn't, totally understandable and detailed. Cheers! 🎃🎃

Please I need your help I had a laptop with original Windows 10 And I was making a backup of the Windows settings You saved the backup file to an external hard drive And my laptop was stolen I bought a new laptop with the original version 11 the question How can I withdraw the installed programs and Document folder from the backup copy to the new Windows without applying the old Windows to the new? I mean, I just want to pull the programs.
Hi. I was able to backup my files and folder and even the scheduler works properly. But when I created a folder under the backed up folder, the new folder within the backed up folder does not get saved. Can you please advise solution in such scenarios?
This is yet another ad about OneDrive and how to use it. It is also missing essential information: (i) How to backup your Internet Bookmarks?, (ii) How to backup your Desktop data?,...?

You are absolutely right and it is the last one, they want to push the users to OneDrive so they subscribe and pay for storage!
Really very good because it provides step by step instructions from every aspect.
Thank you! I needed this info 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thanx needed this before......
