Review: Pet Heating Pad | Will My Cat Use It?

- So, my kitty is getting older :( He's about 15 years old and seeks out warmth any chance he can get. Even in the summer! He will sleep on top of the floor vents in the winter, on my throw pillows, on the couch, on the rug, and pretty much anywhere that is soft and cozy.
I'd prefer he sleep in one location. I can better control the cat hair trail that way! So, I decided to buy a Pet Heating Pad. Yeah, there is such a thing.
It took a few days, but it turns out that kitty really likes the device! I ended up putting a soft and cozy blanket over the pet heating pad. Since the heating pad is only surface washable I don't have to worry about scrubbing it since there is a blanket over it. At the end of the week, I'll just throw the blanket in the wash!
I would recommend this pet heating pad to anyone that has a cat or kittens! Or even small dogs! My kitty seems super content sleeping on it.
Looks like the manufacturer upgraded the heating pad with a super comfy detachable cover!
Here is the link to the Pet Heating Pad that I purchased:

Yeah, makes sense. I noticed my past cats preferring different textures, so maybe he doesn't like how the material feels.
As far as I know cats like things that have their owner's smell. Brand new heating pad most likely has that factory odor they may find weird or unpleasant and it may get stronger when it gets hot. My brother's cat prefers to lie in a plastic basin they use for washing their clothes or a carton box in which his wife kept her shoes. He's not interested in any cathouses or beds that they bought or they were given. Basin and shoebox are his favourites.
My 11 and 10 year old girls love these. The long haired one for shorter times, short haired one during winter won't move unless the servant approaches the toy cabinet.
Last year I let my DeafBlind buddy babysit my Kat for a week, when I was out of town. She is 11, and was not too happy until he put his electric blanket on his bed. He said she was on his legs every night. So in winter I got one. She also prefers it low or medium. I suspect she only lays on me due to my body heat.
Nice happy kitty.
I just got one for my ageing cat, hopefully she likes it! I hope your moggy is still going strong!
I’m sure she will!! I had to make a hard decision and put Taz to sleep. He had developed heart disease. Even with treatment, the vet said he may not recover from it. He was in pain and confused, so he is now over the Rainbow Bridge with a few other family pets from over the decades.
@@helpdeskmama3523 I’m sorry for your loss. 😔
Thank you! ☺️
What a good kitty
My cats absolutely love them
Things like this have to be "just right" for our feline friends to take to them but once they do, nothing else can ever be good enough!
Typical cat behavior! They were considered kings in ancient Egypt...they haven’t forgotten that! 😂🤣
Some of these pads have foil type stuff in that makes a noise so cats get spooked. To that end I've bought a human electric blanket . 2p an hour to run, no nose. She loves it😁
Ya my cat is 17 so I see she is getting cold now easier especially cuz winter, just bought a pad for her
That’s my plan, cover it with a blanket he’s been sleeping on. Just trying to decide what one to get.
My cat didn't like a heating pad. She did like an oil filled heater which I ran year round. Now she much prefers her quartz radiant heater, wall mounted about 4 feet high, keeps the carpet warm and most important keeps her leggies warm.
If the high setting is too hot for an _old cat_ it might just be there to start things up quickly.
Purrfect!!!❤
That is "GREAT", as Tony would say....
If I introduce my cat to something he ignores it, but if I just leave it there he would use it himself.
Or you could get a heated blanket ans put it on your bed
Toasty beans

It's a nice way to set fire to your house, that's for sure.
Leaving the burners turned up high on the stove then leaving the house is a nice way to set your house on fire, but not a heated blanket that has a timer feature. Thanks for stopping by!
How much?
Right now, Amazon has this one for $8.99
