    If it is true that a being is essentially a substance that acts, then it’s likely that the nature of a being’s action cannot be examined. We can certainly analyze influences on particular actions, however. I wonder if we don’t get into trouble when we consider free will as if it’s some property of certain beings, rather than the being itself.
