That last fighting scene was so unnecessary. They could’ve taken it out completely. It would’ve been perfect. Overall, it’s still a great drama with amazing cast and chemistry. I love the flute and guqin music. So much emotional history behind it in the story. I do take it as a happy ending though because of the pendant hanging from his belt. ❤
im still bummed wen ji and lu ji had to die at the end.. like.. we couldve had it all.. their comedic parts were so funny.. such a good drama that it made me miss even the supporting roles.. everyone did so well.
Had the same shit happen in 'Kill Me, Love Me'. Main lead couple could've totally survived (they did in the book) and been happy. Instead scriptwriter decided he knew better than the original author......

El capítulo final me dejó con interrogantes y este capítulo adicional me dejó traumada por bastante tiempo. Insisto en que debió finalizar en el capítulo 39 con la boda de los protagonistas. A pesar de esto, es una serie imperdible, el elenco es maravilloso y la pareja protagonista ni se diga, son una dupla 10 de 10 👍
A mí me dió entender el final de Netflix que el murió...😢 Te recomiendo Amor como galaxia, te va gustar el Gral. Ling Bu Yi ( Wu Lei hace un papel extraordinario).

I’ve heard it in another drama. But can’t remember. It’s beautiful especially when she put all her emotions into it when she played the Qin. I’ve watched that part a few times. Usually in other dramas when they play an instrument or sing the sound is muted you don’t hear it but this one you not only heard you also felt it the sound effects and visual’s were awesome like a live concert. I just loved it.
So it happily ever after for Su Guo Gong and A Lee 😊. Sad to say. Real life war. Soldiers have to sacrifice their lives to save their Peers and friends and also the country..
Ok was this a bonus at the end of the show because I only saw her waiting for him and looking like he was in the fight and injured after he lost his two soldiers and then to riding his horse towards her. It left me confused and not happy that the ending wasn't definitive. Did I end up stopping it too soon? Because there were ending credits.
