I'm going to post this twice as I see you are good with bike mechanics. I've had this twice happen to me in the last year, and last year I took my bike in to a M/C garage repair unit. I been charged for removing wheel from bike then the tyre, and when he got to the culprit nail out and used a piece of an old tyre and put it in from the inside looking outwards starting thin and getting thicker as the rubeer of the old tyre was made to be more difficult to come out is this the best way thanks
This is only for a temporary fix to get you home or to a garage. To repair a tyre properly and safely you have to take the tyre off the rim and check the inside etc.
This is a brilliant clip, shows exactly what NOT to do. Firstly never repair a tyre that is so badly worn. These repair plugs are " get you home" repairs and you should never run repaired tyres like this at high speeds. If the tyre was worth saving it should be repaired from the inside with a pull through mushroom headed patch.
No need to take the air out of the tire as the prev poster recommended but I see a few issues. Looks like the guy in the video did not coat the plug with cement. Also, you are not suppose to push the plug completely though. That plug has a higher chance of popping out.
you had a really hard time getting the rubber stick in... and you really should of applied some rubber glue to the stick before inserting it to help it bond with the tyre better, but a good video :)
Respected sir In my Swift car a Tayer have puncture from the side . I air can't stay in tayer. My mechanic says this tayer can work on with tube. Tayer have only two puncture It not possible the repair of the and become again tubeless. Please help Thank you.
WARNING ! This type of repair is only for low velocity tires, High velocity tires (truck, cars) needs to be repaired from the inside . If you got your car tired repaired like this he doesnt know what his doing
@killerdalek Yepp you get a fine for each bad tire you have on the vehicle in UK like here but you have never been in India right? Because this is nothing compare to alot of other things that goes on there but that´s their lifestyle and they are used to it and people like you and me are let´s say alittle bit "richer" so we can afford to get good tires as an example. But i know exactly how you ment with your comment because i have seen people get killed in India cause of bad tires.
your supposed to use the lube on the string to make it glide in easier.. and if you twist while pushing the string in you will not get the desired double loop on the inside of the tire when you pull the "needle" out.. instead you get a twisted string that serves no purpose as it will not form the plug on the inside.. so the procedure shown is not the way its done.
Are bhai aapko kya puncture Banane aata hai Jaise aap tyre Mein Socha Dale Hain vaise andar bahar karne se tyre ka tar Tut Jata Hai Aur Iske bad Mein Koi puncture leak Ho Gaya to vahan per Dobara success Nahin Hoga only usmein to badalna padega To Aisa galat idea na de to sirf thoda hi Dala Jata Hai andar
Firstly, the tyre is badly worn, and would incur penalty points and a fine if used in the UK. Secondly, that's a crap repair - lives depend on tyres not bursting, and what you've done there isn't reliable enough. Thirdly, that's a puncture, not a puncher! Good video though!
What the hell is wrong with all the drivers over there, one hand on the steering wheel one hand on the horn, that horn noise was driving me crazy. Take the hand of the horn and use it to drive the vehicle.
you do not remove nails or whatever with full air and definitely do not repair it with full air in the tyre. lucky for the guy that the tyre did not blow up and his balls did not scatter to all four winds....
lol.. spoken like a true keyboard warrior.. infact it is done with tire pressure and no the nail will not just magically shoot out the tire with lethal force, and no tires does not explode that easely, infact this procedure requirer you to have tire pressure to get it to work properly
your comment is so funny. i just imagined the picture of the drivers driving there(one hand on the steering and other on the horn. lol). keep it up!
lol such an ingenious idea!!! getting the local hospital sergeons to repair flats in there spare time!!!

I like it, but I think you should let all the air out first, I had the same thing done on my tyre in here in Britain :-)

Si solutia speciala unde e ?
Do not operate on heavyweight tires
its alright i guess but tyre repair should be done from the inside and using heat - it is safer that way
RIchard J Nash so every tire repair should take more than a day

thats the way its done world wide, not just in india, alltho it seemed like something new to them as they did the procedure wrong.
you shouldn't rotate the repair cord.. that will make your task harder !!
the hole too small.
Perhaps this is the worst thing you do with the tyres. The way it is shown here is also wrong.. It will surely damage the tyre.
