Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. Ubisoft has an office here in Montreal. A colleague of mine got the contract to produce the music and he hired me to do some of the singing.
This man's voice is one of the best i've heard, It made AC4 fun to play, I rarely used fast travel because of the shanties.

AC4 has done a big impact in my life. Those sweet memories sailing the seas with pirates singing along. I teared up during this video.
I’m in my fourth playthrough, and I’ll tell ya, it doesn’t get old. It’s just so good. The shanties and the sailing really put it together very well.
Second lockdown getting me to stroll through memory lane. Im happy and sad at the same time lol.

I first heard these songs while preparing to go on a voyage across the north sea, on a ship. We were singing these shanties while pulling rope, setting sails and hoisting the anchor, in full storm no mind you. Finally we sang Leave her Johnny when we were entering harbour.
The experience has really stuck with me, i can understand why sailors really identified with their occupation.
This is probably the best rendition of this shanty
I love how the lead's voice ties it all together, as well as how well the string instruments accompany it perfectly. Great job!

I love this. It gives me nostalgia. It reminds me of edward. As if Edward was real person and his story is so much joined to my soul and this songs just makes me feel like i was edward going on the boat with my crew after all the downfall that happened to Edward. This is beautiful. I thank you for giving me this emotion is something special. I wish Matt Ryan can acknowledge edward once again after all those years.

I just found this. This song was by far my favorite shanty in the game. I'd find myself humming it idly during the day. I also sing and hum the tune to my two little boys. My three year old is even starting to pick up on the lyrics. Thank you, sir, for singing this wonderful song.

Damn do i love Sean Dagher's voice. It is so distinguishable from an entire crowd. He is by far the best part of my experience with AC4. Hearing his voice takes me back to a simpler time. Sean, never stop doing what you are doing.

Good grief. I can't believe I only just found this. 6 years ago, a 14 year old me played this song on repeat nearly 600 times because of how taken back I was by your voices. Came back to it over and over again through the years. I finished playing through AC4 again about a week ago, and yet again your voices - and this song in particular - was caught in my head. Honestly, your voices helped me through a lot of anxiety over the years - so I'm really glad to have actually found you lads and been given a chance to say thanks. So... thanks!
Duke Of Odd abandoned the game at around halfway at the end of 2015, came back in the summer of ‘19. Yes, man, the voices were so soothing, and the fact how they could convey melody without instrumental music is stunning... Love it!

ive been singing this to my boys since thry were born, leaving out tge last bit. now since they heard me listening to this my 2yo and 1yo make me play this during every meal now. I am not complaining. this is the best rendition of this song I have ever heard.

Sir, I know I’m late but i just want to say thank you. Your work on assassins creed black flag made my childhood. I would go to sleep listening to your sea shanties (Padstows Farewell was my favourite). In the present day when I listen to the pieces it’ll bring a tear to my eye, as I remember simpler times, sailing the Caribbean with my best friends by my side, and letting go of all my worries. Thank you sir, god be by your side.
Honestly, these guys made the game super fun to play. I love assassins creed, but I used to set sail in the game just to listen to these guys sing. Amazing.

I remember playing AC 4 and being flat out astonished by how good the music was. I left the game running overnight a number of times just so I could go to sleep listening to it.
