That time app were of size in 10-20MBs now some apps exceed 10+GB storage so yeah 128gb is bare minimum nowadays to store everything on your phone for daily use.

It wasn't "locked" to the motherboard, this is actually a negative for right to repair. Previously iCloud locked devices could have their serials changed to unlock them, but they've migrated that info onto the CPU so the NAND doesn't need serial info written to it anymore. Now old iCloud locked phones are just ewaste.
I got a 512GB 13 PM in Blue coming from a 256 8 Plus and I will say that the storage needs of newer devices is quite crazy when compared to what was standard even just 5 years ago. My next device will probably be an upgrade due to storage limitations rather than actual obsolescence. And for that next device I will be maxing out the storage. 2TB 15 PM will probably be my upgrade.
I'm only using 40gb out of my 128gb. Also have had this phone for awhile so it's not new. People have way too many useless apps downloaded and random games

Many apps are at a minimum exceeding 5-10GB and once you include 4K 60 video and photos, thats where much of the storage goes. You call it useless but these days when you have 100+ apps for all the little stores in town plus apps for your bills etc all using even 2GB each(very small average), youi will be over 200GB.

Not for me and many others.. i've been an apple user for decade.. the original, apple device which has never been opened, modified or serviced are way more durable and longlast than device that ever been serviced/replaced with not original apple component.. This swap memory needs high skilled person to do it. Not many repair shop can do it because it is risky.. this services already exist since iphone 6s and in my country this services are low in fan. Repair shop only give short warranty for this service, and you can face activation problem someday with this services.. That's why rewa said in the last of this video to choose iphone capacity based on your budget and buy that instead upgrade the memory later with this method..

Uhh the iPhone 13 doesn't use M1... It uses an A15 Biomic SHOWN RIGHT IN THE PHONE IN THE VIDEO!!! Also the Studio uses M1 and M1 Ultra, and even tho the NVME drive is removable, it has a chip to make sure it is being used by the M1 and can't upgrade storage with 3rd party solutions because of that chip. Also this company hasn't done a storage upgrade for an M1 device, so why even think it would work without seeing it done or it being done yourself??? Do you not do any research before blabbing utter BS? Clearly not.
