Hey. My day is not so good without your video on Wed. and Sun.. I look forward to them. and miss them when not there.
Great to hear Brian! I will do my best buddy
Joe, it was a Great video...I enjoy watching you, and I also enjoy learning stuff...Old America is wonderful...
Glad you enjoyed it buddy. Stay warm!
Never a waste of time. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Life is hard without health. Today is definitely a reset day for me. Just above freezing and wet. Got a fire going and watching football. Hope you have a better day.
Thanks tom. I'm inside today too. We finally got some snow today and it's pretty slippery out
I miss Lawson's. When I was a kid we took a school trip to Lawson's in North Akron (Cuyahoga Falls), and toured the bread factory. Got to take a couple loafs home on the bus. Biggest food fight ever!
haha !! That must have been a fun ride home
Glad to hear you're getting better! You always need to stop and really appreciate the amazing things God created! Also our American history!
Sure are right HH. What a beautiful world we live in
Joe, The mill and museum were amazing and enjoyable diversions while you are under the weather in the rain:) I will need to add those stops to the bucket list. Glad your are starting to feel better! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the nice post Tom. I hope to be at it here sooner than later.
Praying for quick recovery!
Thanks Mike!
Morning Joe. The Mill looks like a Historic Mill in our area of Massachusetts. The Old Schwab Mill. Thanks for the tour and hope you feel better soon👍
Thanks Al!
Glad you are feeling better I hope you are full throttle in no time. I grew up close to New Philadelphia Ohio I remember goshen dairy and those type of things they provided. Thanks for bringing back some good memories!
Thanks for watching Dustin!
Get well soon!
Thanks Eric!
I look forward to your videos Joe. I'm an old fart front Ohio and I remember the Lawson stores. I'm 76 now and have slowed down measurably the past few years but I still go out in the woods to cut firewood although I spend much more time sitting on the tailgate. I like watching the processor split the wood even though I won't ever get one at my age. Hope you get over what is bugging you soon. Spring cometh.
Thanks for the nice post Gary. Where do you live and grow up? It is nice you can still get around and enjoy the outside. I think the tailgate of a truck is one of the best inventions of all time!
Never a waste of our time Joe! Glad you're feeling better. Always enjoy the tours you take us on!
Thanks for watching buddy.
“Strange days indeed, most peculiar mamma!”
-John Lennon
Preach on Motter!
Nice area thanks for the ride along.
Any time!
thanks for showing us the painting's there great!
There are a lot more LOL. I wanted to make sure I got the big ones. Snap The Whip is an iconic painting and I can't believe it is here in Youngstown!
Thanks for the tour Joe. Interesting area I've only been to Columbus and the WKRP town years ago . Nice no snow . Was taking a break and watching the Ohio Wood Burner day . Here in northern Ontario just finished snow plowing 20 inches from 3 days ago and that weather person to be ready for another dumping mid week . Be safe
Keep that snow up there Mark! We have had a very low snow winter so far.!
Great stuff, Joe. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching Chris!
Thanks for the adventure I always injoy your little side trips glad your getting better
Thanks Billy!
Hope you feel better soon; great job love seeing where you live & work & the history. I've been contemplating doing a firewood business
The best time to start a firewood business was yesterday. The second best time is today! Good luck Wendell
Thanks for taking us along.. as I do deliveries, I also get to drive around Puget Sound here in Western Washington
Thanks Dan!
We need to enjoy the scenery as we make the deliveries.
@John Rosier : Yes, we do.. one of my goals this year is to show more on my channel around the Tacoma/Seattle area..
I could see about a tour of the Brown & Healeys (almond Roca) candy factory here in Tacoma..
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood I will have to check that out. I know you have some great scenery up there.
Joe, that was a great video. Awesome to see those paintings and hear about Youngstown Ohio. To see The rail splitter was a real treat. Really appreciate you and your you tube videos, you may not realize the positive impact you have on your subscribers.
Praying for you to be your best, you have become a regular part of my and many others weekly routine.
That is great to hear that from you Vince. I hope to keep this going!
I have only been to Ohio once and this is great! Thank you for sharing it and please share more of your area.
Thank you! Will do!
Great video Joe! That mill sure was cool👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it buddy!
Thanks for the “Tours” Joe 👍👏 Nice to catch these things….before and after your deliveries. Enjoyed 👍👏🇺🇸 Rick
Thanks Rickey. I hope you're out of the snow right now
Your loyalty to your good customers is admirable, especially when ill.
You can stop your wood making tasks to help you recover and rely on your inventory during your illness.
Get well quick!
I've been doing just that Gary! LOL. Thanks buddy
Good stuff
Thanks Jeff
Great video Joe. I hope you get feeling better soon. Speaking for many of, you bring a great variety of videos that keep us coming back. Keep the great videos coming. 👍🏻
Glad to hear CM. Thanks for the support buddy
Waiting for more firewood production.
Love the videos when you take us around town with you. Feel better soon Joe!
Thanks Tony!
Nice to see a bit of Youngstown up close. Water-driven mills are one of my favorite things. I googled the Mill Creek suspension bridge. Very unique. And yes, the American Masters are just as impressive as any artists anywhere. Rockwell, Homer...woohoo!
Glad you liked it buddy. Thanks for watching
Great video Joe, you do look glassy-eyed, I hope you feel better soon. I've never heard of Lawson's I'm a Heluva Good French onion dip fan. The Orange truck Hess-like story was great. I enjoyed the mill and museum visit with you too. Thanks.
Thanks Joel. I'm getting better. Hope to be back at it soon
Feel better soon, nice tour
Thanks Larry
Joe knows his chip dip. That is the best chip dip ever made hands-down.
We have a lot in common Bill. Love it!!!
Hi Joe. I was a garlic grower for several years. The most I've grown was 15,000 bulbs one year. During my stretch of growing it, I would eat a lot of it raw. I never not once got sick. Not a cold not a sniffle not a headache. Just pop a clove in your mouth once a day and chew it up. You'll get used to it after a few days of eating it.
That could be a good excuse why people avoid me Jeff! LOL Thanks for thinking of me buddy
@@ohiowoodburner I'll get back with you this fall and I can hook you up with some good mild garlic to try out!
Thanks for the tour Joe. As you were driving up Wick Avenue by campus I recognized so much from my days at YSU in the late 80's, looking good!
YSU is one of the best looking campuses in the region. They have done a great job there
Lincoln the vampire hunter n even his magical slaying axe. Lol😂😂
ha ha. Could be a good scifi movie!
I like the tour, it breaks up the video nicely, stay healthy Joe.
Thanks buddy. How bout me and you get a canoe and shoot that falls?
@@ohiowoodburner hahaha as long as we live to tell the story I'm in.
My dad was born in Youngstown Ohio would like to see it someday I do far away from I'm in Connecticut still doing it is at 64
This area of Ohio is known as the Western Reserve and was survey and settled by people from Connecticut. A lot of our towns and creeks are named after those from Conn. Also there are a lot of towns made with the rotary and town square just like NE. You need to come back. It is a great place to see.
Hang in there buddy. I very much enjoyed the tour video.
Glad you enjoyed Wayne!
you're on to something, with the local tours for your listeners, I love it keep it coming
You got it DB!
Joe, my friend, hi, it's always nice to remember your youth and walk around such beautiful places, good luck to you, Joe, in your business.
Спасибо Виктор. Мы живем в прекрасном мире!
Thanks enjoyed,
Glad you enjoyed it Dirk!
That's a great video love seeing where you live and deliver wood to.
Very entertaining and different loved it
Get well soon but maybe not if you make videos like this
Al. Best from Wales UK
Thanks for watching Roy! I have a number of vids that celebrate the Mahoning Valley. It is a hidden gem in not just Ohio but the USA.
I’m too young (38) to have experienced Lawson’s, but growing up in Canton my parents and relatives always talked about it.
Circle K sells it. Great dip
When I think of a beech, I imagine more sand. :)
ha ha. Same, some times
The mill in absolutely beautiful.
Indeed it is. They rent it out for weddings etc. The inside feels like you are stepping back in time
absolutely love these videos joe. I've seen lots of splitters work. Listening to you and seeing some sights are awesome. I was in a rut for 3 weeks after christmas. Was hard to find motivation just gotta keep pushing!!!
Thanks Andrew! I have been dealing with gut pain this winter and it makes moving around in the woodyard too difficult. I am getting better but the pills were making me nauseated LOL. Can't win sometimes!
@Ohio Wood Burner Ltd that sucks. Hope you get feeling better joe!!! Keep being awesome
Glad your on the mend, loved hearing about your area mixed with firewood
Thanks buddy. I'm glad you enjoyed it
Hope feel better soon, from Morgantown wv.
Thanks Kenny. I was in Ritchie county a couple weeks ago.
Here in north central ohio i lived right next to a Lawsons for years as a kid..i remember them for their chip chopped ham! and of course the french onion dip and Jones chips!..also dont ask me how i know this, but they would throw out the expired monthly adult magazines in the dumpster out back!!!..lol
haha! Love it. Thanks buddy!!
Continue getting stronger and better. We need your strength so we can see more of your travelogues and adventures. Take care and thank you
Thanks Lance. I'm getting there buddy
Love the tour you give us of the area you live in. Thanks for taking us along!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thank you! Will do Dave!
Wow that's really nice
It's a great place for sure Jason!
Good video ,thanks .
Thanks bruce!
Here in Western New York we have Bison French onion dip, Logan berry soda, mighty taco and our notorious chicken wings.
I used to work in Buffalo. I LOVED eating Picasso's pizza. I went to the one in Williamsville a lot.
@ohiowoodburnerltd2409 very small world my father used to be in the automotive industry as well like you. I'm not sure which company you worked for but he was a sales representative for Napa. They have a warehouse very close to that same Picasso's.
I live in the mountains of NY and I thought it was like that all over growing up as a kid. Then we went to Ohio and Indiana and man it’s flat. Glad to see your feeling better.
As you go south from Lake Erie below Youngstown the terrain gets hilly. That is technically Appalachia and the Ohio river valley is pretty steep on both sides.
Man 3 weeks Joe not good need more vitamin C and D, awesome stuff your showing us. Ha got the funk and it’s passing well sort of 😎. I am here to help maybe I’ll come out there only an 8-9 hr drive for me 🤔
The Funk is for real Frank!
@@ohiowoodburner funky cold medina lol. Hope your just about good now
Thanks for taking the time to put out a new video for your people when you're not feeling good Joe.
And thanks for showing us more interesting stuff from your home area. It's important for us to appreciate our hometowns and local areas and take pride in them. Much like the extreme amount of pride you taking your work. Trust me Joe, it does not go unnoticed.
Keep up the great job on all that you do. Thoughts and prayers that you get to feeling better real soon. 👍🏼
Thanks for the nice post Shawn. I think the Mahoning Valley is on of the hidden gems in this country. It gets a bad rap but has so much cool things to offer.
My business travels gets me to the Cleveland, Cuyahoga Falls and Sebring area about every other month.
Nice video on Youngstown area.
Thanks Josh. Check it out sometime if you are thru this way in the future
Thanks for your tour of life in upper Ohio, Joe. I always find value in your videos so they are never a waste of time. Glad you are able to get some inside and outside work completed as you transition out of your funk.
Thanks Obie. I need a young man with a strong back to carry my slack. I figure I could ask you if things get too far behind!!
@@ohiowoodburner If only I was closer!
@@ohiowoodburner
That is a good idea Joe.
A business the size of your business starts to have a life of its own. When the number one goes down is no reason for the whole business to go down.
That museum would make the trip to Youngstown worthwhile for me coming from Fairmount Indiana. Fairmount is recognized worldwide for being the home of James Dean the actor. 🎬 People from literally all over the world own homes here and visit throughout the year. I guess James Dean is still a huge deal in places like Italy, France and even Australia.
He was my dad's favorite actor LOL
Greetings Joe, you do sound a bit better this week, I’m sure your health, (i.e. “funk” ) will continue to turn around for you. Elaine from Canada here, what another delightful tour you gave us! Thanks for highlighting some of Ohio’s history and local treasures, and sharing your childhood memories. Along with family, all those things put together helped shape you into who you are today. And I still detect a glimmer in your eye when you realize and speak of being your own boss with opportunities to stop and smell the roses. Well Joe, thanks again for sharing; stay positive, stay strong and persevere, because your determination and endurance will get you through the cloudy days, the tax paperwork and you’ll be processing again soon. Sunny days are ahead, enjoy.
Thanks for the uplifting post Elaine!

Did you take the jab, Joe?
Glad I came across this channel. We are not far from one another. I sell firewood in Geauga County and I grew up in Ashtabula County. You might know my Amish friend Aaron who also sells firewood. Small world! Great video.
Aaron and his wife are very nice people. I know a lot of his family. His dad is awesome to deal with.
@Ohio Wood Burner Ltd They are very nice people. I do business with his employer all the time. We were talking about Firewood and RUclips the other day and he mentioned your name. They watch my channel and I'm glad they passed yours along. Take care!
Mister Ohio wood burner just wanted to say I really enjoyed your video it's nice to see how other people live in other parts of the car USA I love visiting people and things that we cook how differently they cook it especially the same time just a little different spices or seasons and different type of meat and vegetables oh that's enough of me by burning on you have a great day too sir and I will talk to you later God bless by
Thanks for watching Wade! The Mahoning Valley is a special place for sure
My dad installed the water wheel in Lanterman's Mill in the early 80s with Loren Cameron.
That is awesome to hear Brad! That must have been a job you would never forget!
@@ohiowoodburner I was around 7 or 8yrs old at the time.. It was made in Damascus OH, just east of Salem.. I remember going there with my dad and helping work on it.... ( By helping l mean getting tools and cleaning up )
Loved the mill and the art work. I hope to make a trip to see some of the places that you have highlighted. Thanks Joe.
Put the Butler on your list Franklin. I can't believe an original Winslow Homer is just 15 miles from my house!
👍👍👍
Thanks buddy
Love the Youngstown tours!!! This appears to be a calling too!. Would love to see the interior of the mill! Thanks so much!
I will try to get into it when the season resets. Thanks Jim
I am going to buy some French onion chip dip.
Thanks for the tour Joe! Looks like you live in a neat area of Ohio. Take care and be safe.
The Mahoning Valley is one of the hidden gems of the USA. Thanks buddy!
Thank You for an interesting video Joe. Grew up in the middle of the Adirondack state park in Tupper Lake N. Y. The largest park in the country. All the national parks put together would fit in the Adirondack park. The men would put me on watch in a big stand of beech trees. I lovedpicking and eating the Beech nuts!
Thanks for sharing Jim. I love the beech. great tree!
Great video Joe thanks for making this video it brought back some memories for myself. Hope you get to feeling better soon praying for you and your family and business.
Thanks Mike!
Great video Joe, love seeing the Mill. I live in the northern Panhandle of WV above Wheeling so I might have to make the trip to see that Mill first hand.
you would love it Rob. I was just thru your way a few weeks ago. Sistersville, Moundsville.
@@ohiowoodburner I live in a little town called Wellsburg WV
You’re a trouper. Thanks for the tour. I got in a prolonged funk in my mid 50s. Doc found that my B-12 was low. Easy fix.
Thanks for the post Roger.!!
Sorry to hear that you’re not back to 100% Joe. I don’t think the winter is helping. Glad it’s at least affording you the time for paperwork. Nobody wants to do that on a nice dayThanks for the tour of Youngstown. That Mill looks very interesting. Hope that you can give us tour at some point in the future. Feel better soon Joe and have a great day 👍🏻!
Thanks for picking me up Chris!
Good job
Thanks Steve
Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. With that rain you could be anywhere in Ireland -it's good to see we share it around! Really enjoyed the video, especially the water mill. After firewood, water power is a dream of mine - in 1978 I looked into getting a water wheel but it wasn't feasible. Beach is a prized firewood over here. It is straight grained and not sinuous so generally splits easily. The downside is when you hit resistance the wood can explode - I've had pieces fly 8 feet horizontally, which I find amusing as bystanders can jump as high with fright. Keep taking the Jamison!
Thanks for the post BR. I never realized beech grows in europe. Intersting. When I was in Finland I saw two elms. Not sure what sub species but was super excited to see them
@@ohiowoodburner - Big Rodders again. In the 1970s, Dutch Elm Disease killed millions of trees and Elm is now very rare here. Some years ago I was in the South of France and on a drive found myself in the middle of a beech forest with 1000s of trees with not another species in sight. I had landed in firewood paradise!
Very interesting. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it Bruce
What a great video. I used to do business with Youngstown Kw. I liked the mill best. Thank you.
What a beautiful sight for sure Ed. Where do you live now?
@@ohiowoodburner Bartonsville Pa. Near the Gap.
I enjoyed your journey and hope you feel better soon.
thanks bob!
Hey Joe- you don’t have to beat yourself up too bad for not splitting wood in January. We could be in the middle of a sub zero arctic blast right now where you wouldn’t dream of splitting wood in that weather.
Just a thought. Get well and then get back at it.
That is a good way to look at that John. Thanks buddy!
Thanks for the tour of Youngstown! Glad you're getting better. Take care, tom
Thanks Tom!
Hey Joe thanks for the local tour! Hope you get over the winter blues. My favorite from Lawson’s was the Little Debbie chocolate cup cakes.
ha ha. They are a classic JB!
Morning Ohio wood seller
Hmm... I think I like that title Curt!
Hi Joe, hope you get to feeling 100% soon. I remember 3 Lawsons in the Zanesville area back in the 70's. Do you remember their advertising jingle? Roll on, Big O. Get that juice up to Lawsons in 40 hours. I have no idea why I still have it running around in my brain. Might need professional help, lol. Take care
You can find that commercial on RUclips. I watched it just he other day
That was cool showing us all of that . Thanks for taking the time to take & show us .
Glad you enjoyed it Dave
Thanks for taking us along Joe. I’m going to check out that mill sometime. We’re supposed to get snow today. I absolutely love lawsons chip dip. Just the best. I used to drive by the plant in chyahoga falls quite a bit.
They sell it at Circle K now Wayne. Love it.
That’s what I thought Joe. I may run out today and get some. It’s been awhile since I’ve had it.
Get well soon, I’m a Ohio resident, transplant from New York 30 year as State Police , interesting information
A nice trip to the Mahoning valley Terry should involve Mill Creek Park. You would love it.
Lawson from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is alive and well, in Japan. It operates over 11,000 stores.
Intersting to hear. Circle K sells their dip.
Roll on big O get that juice up Lawson’s in 40 hours ! We still get the chip dip also .
Roll on Big O. Thanks Mark!!
Enjoy your video's and commentary. Especially appreciated the tour of your fine area of the country, much different than southwest Montana. I wish we grew the hardwoods that you have, alas, we have only evergreens, aspen and cottonwood (mostly). I aspire to do the same as you are with a firewood business, but only so much as to aid with retirement funds. You really got me to thinking with your video about small packaged firewood in a dispenser. Thanks for what you do.
Thanks for watching Larry. I have a vision for a firewood vending machine. I think it could work in the right area
Great Video Joe- Glad your feeling a little better. I enjoyed the historical tour. Quickbooks has help me with my business accounting a lot.
Thanks Rich. My wife carries the load with the paperwork but we are doing sales tax this evening LOL
Beech Is an amazing wood for wood turning I have made many many things from it over the years. nice video keep them coming.
Will do Dave. Thanks for watching
Lawson's French Onion dip, yeah that stuff was awesome! Used to get it at Kroger's. Haven't seen it in decade's. You are a fortunate man indeed.
Driving out west its true you might see a tree every 100 miles that hasn't changed.
Good talk Mr. Joe.
If you have any Circle K stores they sell it there Dan
Joe just to let you know. I used to work at a very large Dairy CO-OP and a trucking company called Indian River would bring concentrated orange juice from Indian River Florida to New Jersey and would backhaul from our dairy in Central PA, Whole milk back to Florida. These are the stainless tanker trucks. I would load them with milk on nightshift all summer. Hopefully you feel better soon.💪
Thanks for sharing buddy. The milk tanker goes down our road every day. We have a very large dairy farm just up the road
Hi Joe!!😀😀
Glad to hear you are starting to feel a bit better.
Over here in Wisconsin they have been taking out the stoplights and putting in roundabouts. They were a little different to drive through at first. But now I like them much better than the old stoplights.
Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚

They have been finding their way into our area as well. The new tech is known as the Diverging Diamond intersection. Very creative and is a much more efficient way to move traffic.
Thanks for the tour! The “Prolonged Funk” is no fun….so, I wish you well. 👍
Thanks RG. I'm getting better. Just slow motion
Thanks for the video. Wasn’t boring at all. My 8 year old daughter enjoyed it also!! Get well brother.
Great to know Harold! Thanks buddy
Yeah that was a cool video seeing some of the highlights of Youngstown from Southern Ohio heard about Youngstown quite a bit growing up so thanks for that that was cool and how about them Bengals
I am rooting for the Bengals even though I am a Browns fan. Gotta support the state and Joe Burrow! But I am also now a Brock Purdy fan. What a great story!
