      Thank you, I can't really help it as it is my nature. Most review channels cater to the manufacturers and that is a sad state of affairs. Thx for the review! Phenomenal results from the 9R! Projected range of 27mi going 15-20 is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! For comparison, I get 30mi on the 8R going 17-19mph with 1 or 2 bars left as a 230lb rider. The hill climb impressed me too, esp. the 9+R. The range on the 9+R is disappointing though. I want one of these but I think I'm leaning more towards 9R.

      @@sohaibmahagri5037 Thank you for the comment. From my experience tire size is the #1 stability factor like you alluded to, followed by handlebar width. The last thing that is tougher to explain is trail, basically the separation between the handlebar center and axle center, more separation is more stable, think a chopper motorcycle.
      I liked the 9+ more than the 10+ but do think the 10+ is a little more stable. I don't think that difference is much and to me, wouldn't be worth the extra cash. Perhaps someone else will chime in as well, thanks!

  • @freeHorizon
    @freeHorizon 3 года назад

    Surprised how little difference there was in the range assessment. It seems like mainly a trade off between acceleration/top speed and range between 9+R and 9R. And even then for a near $400 dollar difference, may not be worth the dual motors for the average commuter.

    • @ElectronSurfer
      @ElectronSurfer  3 года назад

      @freeHorizon, it was surprising and you are right. I think the Vsett 9 may have a few too many options/configurations, it can be a little confusing. The dual motor range penalty for your battery size probably doesn't make sense for a lot of people, especially commuters.

    My choice of New scooter was the Kaabo Mantis 8 Pro... But this Vsette 9+ has got me thinking again. However, I really like the simplicity of KM8 Pro design. Have you reviewed the Kaabo ? And if so, how do you think the 2 compare ?

    • @ElectronSurfer
      @ElectronSurfer  2 года назад +1

      Hey there, sorry for my slow reply. I have not reviewed the Mantis Pro but did the regular Mantis. They are really different animals entirely. If you like light weight and quick scooters the 48v dual motors on the 9+ are excellent. If you want real power the 60v is in a different league for top speed and acceleration. Personally I don't ride fast enough to make the top speed difference worth the small amount of acceleration gain. Folding is smaller and carrying is easier on the Vsett. I hope that helps!

    • @robinarden8877
      @robinarden8877 2 года назад

      The Mantis 8 Pro is 48V. (Not 60V). (You are obviously mixing it up with the Mantis 10). The 8 is 24AH (Pro). It has a good range, yet it weighs less than 27kg.
      I'm not usually a Speed Demon, but I do like to have the power and the range. Here in the UK, it can be had for a Paltry £1,200. ($1,414.80). The Apollo Ghost is £1,500. However, The M8Pro is a Better scooter for less money ! Thanks for the reply !

    • @ElectronSurfer
      @ElectronSurfer  2 года назад +1

      @@robinarden8877 You are right, I was mixing it up. I think the biggest difference is going to be weight, looks like at least 10 lbs more for the Mantis. Kaabo motors tend to have a little more noise than the Vsett. I think of the 9+ as kind of a sleeper, it is super quiet. The Vsett has nice ergonomic handlebars that fold. If you will be doing much folding and transporting the Vsett is probably a good option, if not likely Kaabo. Cheers!

    • @robinarden8877
      @robinarden8877 2 года назад +1

      The weight difference is about 2lbs. Vsett is about 25kg, while the M8Pro is almost 27kg. The Vsett motors are 650W, while the M8Pro's motors are 800W... (According to their website) Vsett have 3 choices of AH, (15.6, 19.2 and 21). The M8Pro is 24AH.
      You can get the M8Pro in blue, red, silver and black. But the Vsett comes just the 1 colour. They will both do over 30mph. (But I suspect the M8Pro is bit faster than the Vsett). Looking at all the evidence... I guess I've just talked myself into the M8 Pro !
      However, I will keep my options open, (until I have enough money for the purchase). Which will be 4 - 6 weeks... The new Mantis 10 is another option. They now come with a 48V, 800W motor. (Peak power 1600W). Weight is just over 24 kilos. Top speed is 30 plus. But the best thing about it is the price. I can get the new Mantis 10 Lite Plus, (2nd one up in the range) for as little as £670, ($792). It's very tempting, but I told myself, my next scooter will be a dual motor. (Now I'm back to the M8 Pro !) And I almost forgot... The M8 Pro comes with Dualtrons EY3 display (Which is a big deal)

      Hello there, I think the biggest decision you have is one you already pointed out, RANGE. In my opinion the only reason to buy a Cruiser, especially these days, is because you want 50+ mile range. If you don't, then I think there are much better options, the Speedway Leger Pro for single motors. All of the Vsett scooters ride great, their suspension is a step above everything I have reviewed. Then it just comes down to weight and speed (dual single) to choose between the 8, 9, or 10. I hope this is helpful, free to ask more if not! Thanks

    A nice scooter but it has a complicated to folding mechanism for rolling and not easily to carried. It seems you wouldn’t want to have to do that when you’re not riding.

      @yanassi, after a few times the folding mechanism isn't much of a problem. I think it is easier than the foot stomp type. The Vsett 9 handle hooks in pretty well for lifting, none of these scooters over 40lbs are great for carrying though. Thanks

    Cable management alone is enough to be a deal breaker. Especially when they command premium over other brands.

      I can't argue with that. With cables I tend to like them externally routed as I care a lot about serviceability, that being said it can really start to look untidy.

    That fender rattle is awful. That would drive me nuts

      @Dean H, that is why I like to include actually riding sounds. I don't really notice it over the wind noise over 15mph. It is a poor design and I'll have so shims make up for it soon.
